I love to welcome a new restaurant in Hamilton. The atmosphere was great. Beautifully renovated. It just opened, so they are still working out the kinks. If you’re in a hurry, hold off on going for a few months while the staff and kitchen get into their groove. The food was delicious, it took some time to be served, however, like any new place, they’re still figuring things out. Great prices. I’d definitely go back.

We recently visited this restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The service and atmosphere were amazing, giving us the feel of a high-end establishment while offering reasonable prices. The food was very good, with the meatballs being particularly exceptional. I ordered the NY Strip, which was cooked blue rather than rare, but I wasn’t complaining. The drinks were decent, though a bit sweet, and I plan to try the Manhattan next time. Overall, we are very happy to have another great restaurant close to home!

Great food, atmosphere, and service. As soon as we were seated we were served bread and water. All of the wait staff were kind and attentive. The white truffle fries were very good. Chicken parm was delicious. Overall a great experience. Highly reccomend.

Had reservations with a friend on Thursday at 6:30pm. Crazy busy but probably because they’re new. Parking situation is a complete mess and definitely not enough spots. Staff seems to still be getting their bearings but at least they’re friendly. Service was a bit slow. Interior is large and spacious.

There’s seasoned warm bread, olive oil, and olives that were complimentary and delicious. Another waitress ended up taking our sharing plates a bit prematurely when we wanted to get more bread (we did end up getting it).

For drinks I got the Manhattan which I found to be a bit sweet and also the jet lagged which wasn’t as sweet and was very refreshing. Both drinks were quite boozy which was great.

For the appetizer we got the calamari. I found these to be perfectly seasoned and fried. The sauce was also a nice addition and the texture of the calamari was very tender.

I asked the waitress about the pastas and was told that all pastas are housemade except the gluten-free ones which I find to be quite amazing. I then decided to get the shrimp scampi for my entree. It was excellent. 4 huge shrimp which were super fresh, tons of garlic flavor, and a good amount of tomatoes to help brighten up the dish. The chitarra had great texture. Would definitely look forward to trying other pasta dishes after having this.

My friend got the NY strip. I tried the fries and thought they were crunchy and delicious. The strip looked like it could have a better sear on it and she mentioned it was underseasoned. Perhaps leave some salt/pepper on the table?

For dessert we got the pistachio gelato. Tastes super legit. Like pistachio butter, super nutty, and very creamy. Loved it. Overall I feel this place has great potential. I’m a huge fan of The Hawke, and have enjoyed dining at Metro North. Since the owners are the same as Il Dono, I am looking forward to how this restaurant turns out.

They definitely should’ve had a soft opening.l if they didn’t. Being it’s their first week open I will give them some grace. However, I feel it is important for the public to know how our experience went. Our appetizers came out timely from ordering. Drinks were quick and lots of bread provided. Our entrees came out extremely delayed and my chicken parm was slightly burnt on the bottom. Our server was super friendly and very accommodating to every need. We unfortunately had to send back a steak as it was overcooked past the rare temp that was requested. As a courtesy they gave free dessert (zeppoles that were again – needing an oil change and slightly burnt) along with cappuccino for the table. Other than that everything was great. I hope they’re successful at that location. We will be back, but maybe in 6 months or so.

I think this place can only get better. It’s only day two so they are still working out the bugs. It was very good but still needs a little tweaking. I had a dirty martini that was perfect. We are already planning to go back.

First time there with my girlfriend ..the veal parm was burnt and rubbery..also the waitress Jolynn was a no show most of the time .. found hair underneath my plate after they pick it up how disgusting..poor management..run by clowns.. never go back .. overrated and overpriced food.. need a better chef cause can’t cook a meal right.. waitress was horrible.. gave us grated cheese after we were almost done ..took her 15 mins to get the grated cheese .. horrible experience ever at a restaurant ..save your $$ and stay away from this disaster place..one more thing not enough parking ..it was a mess parking wise..

Typically I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but this place is your average,at best, Hamilton restaurant. Definitely not in the top 10.
We came in for dinner, the restaurant is all new so naturally it’s nice but the quality of the food & service is just not there. Our entrees were all under seasoned and overcooked. The chicken was hard and stringy and the pasta did not taste fresh, almost as if it was cooked days prior and re heated quickly. Our strip tasted cheap and was also overcooked.
We wanted to say something but couldn’t find our server for 15 minutes so we just ate what we could. 2 of our drinks were really good, 2 were made completely wrong.
The menu prices seemed cheap and now we know why. We go out a few nights a week and this won’t be in our rotation for a while.

Ambiance is beautiful. Host was kind. Servers were friendly. Food was okay.

Lets start with the good. Their crispy mozzarella was to die for. Honestly the truffle honey on them added the sweetness I never thought I would need in my life. Their meatballs were just okay, but the presentation was nice and to have them placed over ricotta was a nice touch. Octopus was cooked to perfection, but the side salad with it was just okay as it usually is.

Onto the just okay part, which would be the entrees. The carbonara pasta was so dry the noodles were clumpted together. I was going to ask the server for more sauce, but the server was not able to be found. The steak was ordered medium rare, definitely served rare. It almost felt like they made the pasta and forgot the steak and just threw steak on the grill while the pasta shriveled up. I will say the quality of the steak was great.

They do have fun cocktails on the menu and the one ordered was just okay.

As for the service, it started out great then we waited for quite some time for drink refills. Had to ask for takeout boxes twice. They were all very kind and friendly though.

I feel the resturant is new, and needs to learn how to serve with the abundance of people. It felt like they were not prepared or ready. I highly suggest giving this place a try though, just wait a few more months until they have a well oiled machine.
