Nice location with easy street side or public parking. No wait for dinner during winter. Nice seasonal cocktails. Asian, middle/ south eastern flair cuisine. Had the special carnitas bao buns that were excellent. Dumplings were also phenomenal.
Very dark interior, which isn’t my preference, but it was relaxing when not having to read menus.

What an unexpected treasure in this small town! Nomads serves up beautifully prepared, flavorful dishes with Indian, Thai, and Chinese influences. But they also have familiar favorites like pasta Alfredo, steak, and fish and chips for those who prefer something classic.
I could eat the Brussels sprouts like candy. The butter chicken and wild mushroom ramen were both spot on: rich, balanced, and with just the right amount of heat. Service was friendly, and the whole experience felt welcoming and relaxed.
Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Amazing food!
We each chose the best thing on the menu; not that there was a poor choice.
Great cocktails too. Don’t forget to save room for dessert, we picked the Dark Chocolate Mousse.
After dinner we need to head to the Rookery.
Cheers

This is the fourth time eating here and it is always fresh and delicious! It was a busy Friday night, but they were very gracious and got us a table for 2. Many options for GF, vegan. The Brussels sprouts were delicious!

Everyone’s reviews are spot on! I was instantly drawn to this Inviting atmosphere with its background music & modern decor. After a Warm genuine greeting, I was quickly seated. I chose the Pakora appetizer and Nomad salad which were perfect for my preferred non-spicy palate. Both were deeply flavored with pops of mouth-watering layers of freshness!!

Had dinner here with friends to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a few appetizers and individual entrees and everything was really good. The brussels sprouts were a standout, and I had the Szechuan chicken which was very flavorful with a nice level of spice. The staff gave us a big table for our group and were very accommodating. They didn’t rush us even though we stayed past closing, which we appreciated. Overall a great spot and I’d definitely come back again!

The butter chicken was very tasty. The fish and chips were good but the amount of sauce they give you is ridiculous. Yes, you could ask for more but asking for ketchup four times during a meal is silly. The coleslaw that comes with the fish and chips is not good and they give you a very sad amount of that as well. The fish and fries are good though which I guess is what’s most important. The service was ok. I ordered and drank a beer before the meal came out and was never asked if I wanted another which I would have ordered if offered. Overall, very nice staff. Greeted at the door and the food runner was also very nice. Overall a decent experience and good food.

Wonderful experience dining in and getting a chance to meet the owner. Very happy with everything we ordered but the Thai cauliflower and garam masala ice cream sandwich stick out. Ask for a side of their hot sauce if you like some heat it is perfectly balanced. They’re taking the social distancing measures seriously despite a smaller intimate dining area, great to see them still alive and kicking.

Great food from all corners of the world. I’ve loved the Butter Paneer, the Pad Thai, the pistachio custard. Great service. Friendly and upbeat. Interesting craft cocktails. Great atmosphere, good music – open kitchen right at the door makes a nice buzz and cozy tables with beautiful historic architecture in a great town. Worth a trip to Hillsborough!

Nestled away in Downtown Hillsborough sits Nomad…a gem for wanderers and locals alike! It was their first day opening their dine-in option, so we took a glimpse inside to check under the hood. The interior is eclectic and polished with a long bar nestled near the entrance, distanced tables with the hovering glow of pendant lights, natural brick walls, and a second floor with more private group dining experience.
We decided to utilize their outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. The menu was on their website so we took a peek and faced several conundrums as it seemed everyone in my party wanted to order half the menu lol. Naturally, we ordered half the menu 🙂 For starters we chowed down on Korean Elotes, Chicken Pakora, Korean Beef Kolache, and Paneer Pimento Cheese. While all were great, I think the crowd winner was that Paneer Pimento Cheese.
Drinks had preceded our starters, and they had some creative craft cocktails of which the Pineapple Sage Jalapeño struck some fancy. For the main course we had Chicken Tikka Masala, Korean Fried Chicken Bowl, and the Nomadic Tacos. Again, the food was splendid, but the Korean Fried Chicken took the prize. Surprisingly, we made room for dessert…that Red Velvet Cake was a delight!
Needless to say, STUFFED about sums up my feelings at that point. We wrapped up and crawled to our car parked across the street haha. My recommendation is you run to Nomad because you will likely be crawling out! Enjoy fellow wanderers 🙂
