I had a great experience at La Ciudad MX. I really enjoyed the variety of food to try from the traditional nieves (ice cream) to Craft beer and delicious food. I really like the location. You can tell this place was created with passion in mind.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a line out the door.
Came by here to just grab coffee and check out the place. Coffee and service was phenomenal so we came by a couple days later to try a couple more things off the menu.

YA’LL , THE BUTTER CAKE IS MADE OF DREAMS. The most magical combination of warm , fluffy cake , ice cream with caramel and condensed milk drizzle. The presentation was 10/10 , the taste was even better.

We also got mango ceviche , which came ON a tostada that sat on a bed of seaweed salad and an extra crunchy tostada on the side. Incredible taste , fresh and delicious and beautiful presentation. My tastebuds were singing with joy at every bite.

The restaurant is gorgeous , large beautiful windows , bar , tables and even an outdoor seating area. You can tell they take great pride in the aesthetics and presentation.

The people working there were patient , attentive and so welcoming.
Celesté was the one who helped us both visits and she’s the best , we love her! A huge reason we came back the second time. She was so sweet and patient. Offered recommendations and made an adjustment to the coffee for my Mom to make it a little sweeter. You can tell she genuinely wants the visitors to have a good time and enjoy their experience.

Overall , amazing new restaurant. Can’t wait to come back and try the menu and the drinks.

I’ve been driving past this corner for years and always wondered what its potential could be. Then I saw construction begin earlier this year and was excited to see what would be revealed.
After popping in to confirm they were indeed finally open yesterday, my family and I walked down this morning for coffee and breakfast.

First impression-OMG this place is stunning! The elegant and clearly cultural elements make the space special to sit in. There is a beautiful mural about the tragic love story of the Aztec warrior Popoca and Princess Mixtli.
Next time, I plan on eating inside, but we needed to sit outside because of our stroller and dog. They had comfy chairs to enjoy our coffees in but due to the rainy weather they hadn’t set up their patio yet. However, Ernesto was amazing and brought out a table and chairs from inside for us to dine Al fresco.

Second impression-the service is fantastic. See note about Ernesto above. Everyone who is there has been friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure your food and drink are exactly how you want. Sandra was our barista and waitress and was so helpful in answering my multitude of questions.

My husband had the breakfast burrito-he stated in between eating the first half and the second half that it was one of the best breakfast burritos he has ever had. I would have taken a photo except he was eating into it faster than I could whip out the phone!

I ordered the tuna tostada (fresh and spicy!!) and the baked fish and shrimp entree. I took one bite and stopped in my tracks because I have never tasted anything like it before. It was so unique-smoky, spicy, briny and made me think of fresh fish from the beaches in Tulum and the ornate complex flavors of Mexico City, a culinary capital.

I cannot wait to go back and try everything on their menu. Their drinks look great too so look forward to inviting friends to join me.

I believe they will do well bringing culture, style and flavors to this corner in West Sacramento. We need more local businesses who want to create their mark in our cities. I, for one am invested in everything they have to offer and more!

Welcome La Cuidad MX City!!

Completely AWESOME new place in West Sac. The Tuna Tostada was some of the best seafood I’ve had in the Sacramento area. Super fresh, spicy and full of flavor. Perfectly crunchy tostada. The Tlayuda Oaxaqueño was also amazing. Topped with beans, cheese, lettuce, avocado, perfect asada, creama and chorizo. We also had their coffee to go. I loved the Tierra Blanca Latte with strong coffee and coconut. My wife really enjoyed her Blanco Canela Latte as well. Five stars for this place for sure!

I visited due to a drive-by and wow, it’s the best breakfast I’ve had but they also have lunch and dinner, so can’t wait to try their dinners along with their full restaurant experience. this place has an amazing vibe, inspired by Mexico City. Very authentic.

Didn’t have a good experience. Our food came out super late. Some finished eating before others had their food. More food was still forgotton. They just let us sit there wondering where our food was and finally said something after 30 more minutes of waiting between plates being brought to the table. They didn’t seem bothered by the service they were providing. One of the guys turned his back when someone in my party got up to ask what was going on. When my food finally came it was wrong. They must have made it quickly to get it out. They could have handled the situation differently and gotten a different review.

Excellent breakfast burrito with salsas on the side.
I cook the majority of the time from home and hardly have Mexican food since I cook traditional Mexican at home, and this burrito and salsa really hit home. Highly recommend, and they do take out as well which was very convenient for my experience. Wish I could take photos but the food was gone before I knew it.

On its way to being a favorite local place for us. Coffee bar is good, too, for a quick stop. Looking forward to the outdoor seating after the winter opening.
