We recently had Social Sloth Catering handle a work holiday party at our home for about 20 people, and Chef Aybars and Burcay were absolutely fantastic. Our guests were raving about the food all night—the quality and flavors were truly outstanding.
They made the entire experience incredibly easy for us. They took care of the delivery, full setup, and clean-up, which allowed us to actually enjoy the event without any stress. We had a few holiday trays we wanted to use, and they incorporated them beautifully. They even went the extra mile by individually packaging their cookies as a thoughtful takeaway treat for our guests, which everyone loved.
We were so impressed with both the service and the food, and we will definitely be using Social Sloth Catering again. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about the cooking classes at Social Sloth. They are laid back classes with AMAZING food and a great opportunity to learn some new cooking skills. No judgement for newbies. For our class we made lentil soup and kisir, and they turned out great. I highly recommend this restaurant and their cooking classes!

A real treasure in an unexpected location. The couple that runs it are welcoming and are passionate about quality food and sharing their culture. I love hearing the chef sing along to Turkish songs while he prepares dishes unique to this area. Casual cafe dining- call ahead if you have a party larger than 4. Check out their website for meal prep and cooking classes. I’m not affiliated at all I just love unique places like this.

Really great food. It is really nice to see places like this move into Lansing. The customer service was great, they were helpful and friendly. I ate the chocolate croissant and it was amazing soft and flaky. The turkish omelets is spicy and full of flavor. Visit this place if your are in the area.

When I’m craving Social Sloth, I can almost smell and taste the amazing Turkish food from memory. My favorite items are coffee, tea, meatballs, chicken and any dessert. I’m never disappointed.
Fortunately, I have gotten to know Burcay and Aybars, who own and operate this amazing Turkish diner. With inviting smiles, they serve delicious, healthy and authentic meals made fresh daily.

Tonight was our first trip, and we really enjoyed it. We sat outside with just perfect weather. The service was super friendly and helpful. The food was the star, though, and that’s really the most important thing! We had soup, two different plated meals, and shared a slice of cake for dessert. It was all super flavorful, well presented, and with good portion sizes.

Social Sloth catered our daughter’s rehearsal dinner, and it was excellent. The food was flavorful, fresh and festive. I consulted with them on a menu for a dinner for 30, while taking dietary restrictions into account. Chef Aybars was easy to work with in terms of choosing dishes, dietary information, scheduling delivery and payment. The diners loved the food and the meal helped make the evening memorable.

Social Sloth catered my daughter’s bridal shower. The theme was British tea. The order was beautiful and delicious. High quality food for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Social Sloth Cafe for all your catering needs.

The Social Sloth never disappoints! The cute aesthetic and very friendly staff are highlights. My partner and I go here often, it’s one of our favourite eateries in Lansing. I love their Turkish tea, as well as menem, baklava, sucuk, and the Turkish breakfast. Two people can easily split an order of menemen, though I recommend getting an extra slice of their yummy homemade bread. We also love their cozy vibe. During the warm months, they have outdoor seating.
Access notes: There is a ramp to the front door, no steps inside. The bathroom has an accessible stall.
