I tried the hard shell pulled chicken Tacos and the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I wasn’t a fan of the beans. They tastes and felt more like mashed beans than any traditional beans that I’ve had so far with my enchiladas. The enchiladas themselves and the tacos where ok. Nothing to scream atop a roof about, but not bad either. I took issue however when I noticed how dried the hot sauce was when I tried to use the one on the table, only to find out that it expired almost 8 months prior. The waitress assured me that they refill them and to disregard the dates on the bottles. However, seeing how dried the sauce was, it’s “interesting” after taste and the fact that the original bottles were use (which would have been hard and impractical to refill due to their tiny opening), I’ll keep my guard and doubts up.

A classic Mexican restaurant feel. Food was good. Service was great. Salsa was very good. The restroom is in the entrance foyer which felt backwards to me but other than that it was a very decent experience with a satisfying meal. Prices are reasonable. Just traveling through but this was a good choice for lunch.

The food was okay I got the Rancheros and Combo D, but they tried to charge us $50+. We got waters as well no alcohol or fountain drinks or tea. They had a big spoon for me. I could barely fit it into my mouth. The customer service was basic. He told me it was a hot plate, yet he didn’t properly set it in front of me, so of course, my immediate reaction would be to put the plate in front of me, in order to eat it. I liked the Mexican music and the decorations. They tried to overcharge us with a bill that had no description of what we ordered. Unsure if they’re desperate for money or just naturally scam artists, so watch your bill.

Service and food was phenomenal. The aesthetics on the outside aren’t much, but a very pleasant atmosphere awaits on the inside!

Ground beef is way too fine. It barely taste like beef. Fajitas are almost entirely peppers and onions with little meat. Not a very good Mexican place at all and check your food because something will be wrong. You could order water and it will be wrong. I never want to eat there again. Avoid the tamales.

Best Authentic Mexican food in Alabama. The food is always delicious and perfectly cooked. The owner and staff are friendly and seem genuinely happy everytime we visit.
Even when its really busy its still pretty relaxed and quiet.

I discovered this place by accident about 7 years ago when I was headed back to Birmingham from the Gulf Coast. I’ve stopped in many more times since, because the food is so good and reasonably priced. This evening, I was seated and had my food within 15 minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Enchiladas Supreme and they were some of the best enchiladas I’ve had in a long time. The chicken enchilada in particular was juicy and full of flavor. This place is a hidden gem.
