⭐ 1-Star Review — Extremely Unprofessional Experience I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered with this Hungry Howie’s location. They used DoorDash for delivery, and my order was incorrectly delivered to a neighbor I do not get along with. Instead of helping resolve the situation, the store manager, Robert, insisted their dasher “doesn’t get the wrong address” and accused me of being in an argument with the neighbor while placing my order—something that never happened. When I explained that the neighbor refused to give me my food, Robert told me I needed to go figure out how to get it back. He even suggested that I was “running some kind of game” with the neighbor, which was insulting and completely uncalled for. I ended up having to call the police to report that my food was stolen. The officers retrieved my order and even called the store to explain the situation, confirming the delivery was made to the wrong address. They also suggested the manager offer at least a simple apology. Robert refused. This entire situation was embarrassing and stressful, especially since my sister ordered this food as a treat to celebrate my 105% in school this week. The order was over $42, and after everything that happened, I didn’t even want to eat anymore. Between the delivery mistake, the manager’s attitude, the refusal to take accountability, and how dismissive and accusatory the store was, I will never order from this location again. Save your money and your time—there are plenty of other pizza places that actually value their customers. Do better, Robert. Seriously

Ordered two oven baked subs and the dough was not even close to being done on the inside. I called as a courtesy to let them know, i was not looking to have them replaced since i was already home. The manager was extremely rude telling me that his ovens were brand new and on point so there should be no problem with them.
There was no reason to be rude about it at all, or make any customer feel as I was in the wrong for calling.

I called over the phone and was told by Joanne if that’s her real name that I could not place a order over the phone even though I’ve been going to Hungry Howies for 20 years. This was the first-time that I ever had someone deliberately lie and say that I wasn’t in the system and she couldn’t take an order over the phone. Even if that was the case any Hungry Howies allows order placement over the phone. She deserves to be terminated and I hope that calls are recorded at the 17th st location so corporate can review and terminate. I had to go to another pizza place to get a order placed. Horrible customer service and I know that this was intentional.

I have a soft spot for Hungry Howies. Their 6.99 deal back in the past helped me get through college. The food is the best pizza you can get for the price point but when I ordered the 11.99 pepperoni special I ended up getting a Specialty pizza with ham, onions, green pepper, mushrooms, and pepperoni. Not what I wanted and my kids wouldn’t eat it but it was still tasty. I’m partly to blame for not double checking ehen the price seemed more, and I should have double checked when he handed it to me but I had already been out for a while and just wanted to bring food home. Ah well.
Update: Haven’t had any issues since the first random encounter and their pizzas are my favorite around.

NO STARS AT ALL.. I CALL FROM MY PHONE TO PLACE A PICK UP ORDER SO I GET TOLD I CANT PLACE A ORDER BECAUSE HES NEVER SEEN MY NUMBER BEFORE.. HE HAS HAD PEOPLE IN THE PAST MAKE ORDERS AND NOT SHOW UP.. USUALLY I DO GO IN AND PLACE MY ORDER BECAUSE I LIKE MY FOOD HOT BUT THIS ONE TIME I CALL IN I CANT PLACE A ORDER BECAUSE OF WHAT SOMEONE ELSE DID.. THIS IS BAD BUISNESS.. I went in for my $7.99 Pizza Because it’s wacky Wednesday. I asked for charcup pepperoni, which I do every single time and they charged me 11.99, because they said it wasn’t the Regular pepperoni mind you.I come every wednesday and get the same pie for $7.99.

Terrible experience at this Hungry Howie’s. We used to order here all the time, but the manager, Robert, has made us uncomfortable by constantly asking for tips and complaining when we don’t leave one. Our last visit was the worst — we paid online for 3 pizzas, but when we arrived, they said someone else had picked them up. Instead of fixing the issue, the manager said he was “too lazy to make free pizza,” even though we never received ours. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the whole interaction. We received a refund and were met with an insincere apology. We won’t be coming back.
