What a gem. We had an amazing dinner. The cocktails were lovely. Calamari was perfectly seasoned and fried. My spaghetti and meatballs were flavorful with just the right amount of kick. We finished the meal with the apple fritter bread pudding and it was delicious. The server was outstanding. We will definitely be back!

Live music was so cool. The food was beautiful , fresh and so tasty . Our favorites were the carrots and the chicken. The server was very sweet too . Sad we were too full to taste dessert so we will gladly go again (:

The octopus was the best I have ever had. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I already want to go back for more. Everything was delicious. Our waiter Evan was amazing! We will try to be seated with him again next time.

Stopped by on a Saturday evening with reservations for 2, taking mom out for an early thanksgiving celebration. It was quiet upon arrival around 4 PM, but then we quickly noticed groups coming in, and the place filled up. West122 has quickly become one of my favorite dining spots in downtown Tacoma. From the moment we were seated, Joaquin & David were impressively fast and attentive. Each course arrived with just the right amount of space in between—never rushed, never delayed—making the entire meal feel smooth and thoughtfully paced.

We started with the octopus, which was incredible. You could taste how fresh it was, tender with just the right amount of char, and seasoned beautifully. It set the tone for what ended up being an unforgettable meal.

The pork chop with polenta was a true standout. The pork chop was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the creamy, rich polenta. Every bite was comforting and absolutely delicious. I was a bit afraid because it was a huge, thick cut, did not disappoint.

And the steak? The portion size was impressive, and it arrived remarkably juicy and cooked exactly to order. The flavors were bold, rich, and truly memorable. Honestly, every dish we tried was bursting with flavor.

We ordered each a drink, french baguette, two cesars salads, side of octopus, the pork chop and steak. Between the two of us sadly, we had no room for dessert, but an excuse to come back!

West122 delivers the ideal combination of quality, creativity, and service. If you’re looking for a place in Tacoma that gets everything right from start to finish, this is it. Highly recommended!

Decent pub style, tavern food. Only sampled a few dishes off the appetizer menu. All were flavorful and cooked well – favorite was the calamari. Each of us (3) had a cocktail plus 3 apps and total cane to $123 before tip.

Not going to lie, we were pleasantly surprised. This was our first time visiting West 122, we were celebrating our anniversary and looked like a cute place. We were a bit concerned when we first arrived as it was essentially at full capacity and there was only 1 waiter and a gentleman behind the bar. I figured service would be slow or just downright not good. That couldn’t have been further from the truth, the waiter was attentive, food came out quickly, he checked in with us frequently. There was ONE time I was trying to get his attention and he didn’t hear me but it wasn’t long after that he came by our table anyway, so it was no big deal. The appetizers were out of this world amazing. We also got the steak which was cooked perfectly and was SO delicious. The only thing we could complain about was the mushroom risotto, it needed more salt and had a bit too many extra large mushrooms for our personal liking. When it came time for dessert we got the apple fritter bread pudding and that was insanely tasty too. Overall we would LOVE to come back here for many more dates. So glad we took a chance and tried it!

We loved everything about West 122! We celebrated my boyfriend’s 40th birthday here tonight after traveling from Mount Rainier. He ordered the Hazy IPA, and I got a fresh Lalo margarita. Both were great! The calamari appetizer was fresh and delicious. The old bay aioli served with the calamari appetizer was the best! The caesar salad was also fresh and satisfying-one of the best I’ve had, and I order caesar salads everywhere! For dinner, I got the airline chicken with cider jus and Yukon gold mashed potatoes.. best chicken and potato dish I’ve ever had! My boyfriend got the pork chop with polenta and broccolini. Let’s just say we both cleared our plates. We got the apple fritter bread pudding to go as a birthday treat, and it was SO good! If we lived here, we’d be regulars. You won’t be disappointed. Our server was Evan, and he was kind, attentive, with great recommendations. The chef and bartender were truly excellent! I’m glad we got to meet all and thank them for the great service. Thanks for making my boyfriend’s 40th memorable! Appreciate all of you. I wish I would’ve taken photos of our food, but I was so hungry after a full day of hiking.

Wifey and I came in for dinner and had the steak frites, porchetta, and the smoked olives on the side. Everything was excellent, but the porchetta was the star of the night, incredibly flavorful and perfectly executed.

For dessert, we shared the warm bread pudding, which is always a favorite of ours and did not disappoint.

What really stood out, though, was the teamwork. You could feel how the staff supported each other and kept things flowing smoothly even during a busy service.

We’ll definitely be back.

Came here for the first time with my fiancé for a wonderful, romantic Valentine’s evening. Atmosphere was great with candle lit tables and fresh cut flowers. We greatly enjoyed the wonderful prix fixe menu and a couple of rounds of delicious cocktails. It was a very busy evening and we appreciate and recognize how accommodating the server and manager team was with making our evening such a wonderful experience. We will absolutely be back!

The steak was… fascinating to be as kind as possible. $62 New York cut, of what I’m assuming was select beef from cost co. Steak arrived medium well, which would have been acceptable had i not ordered rare. The pan seared broccoli arrived rare, undercooked, under seasoned but at least mine showed up.

The steak was served over a bed of A1 sauce mixed in what I’m assuming was brown gravy ? They could have used a bed of ketchup mixed with marinara and it might have been just as appetizing.

My wife ordered the cod and the vegetables. The vegetables did not show. When we bring this up, the waitress tells us sorry but the kitchens to backed up to get her vegetables she ordered . We weren’t even mad, at that point the whole thing was hilariously bad. We do a lot of traveling and I’m a huge foodie, this restaurant so far is the low mark.
