The ambiance and cool setting made it an idea spot for people who love the ocean, like me. ❤️
But the second time I went there was last Friday and The pineapple rice recipe tasted way different.
I liked it much better the first time.
Drinks were amazing.
Service was great. I will try again
The menu feels like just another millennial’s attempt at overpriced fusion food that sounds better on paper than it tastes on the plate. The best things ordered were actually the kids’ cheeseburger and the fried cauliflower, which were decent but not enough to justify the overall food experience.
The chicken and tots were a major disappointment; the grease they were fried in left a dirty, burnt aftertaste, and the chicken itself was overcooked in oil that was clearly too hot. The house pickles were made with a very sweet vinegar that tasted almost like someone mixed pineapple juice with vinegar and soaked cucumbers overnight, creating a strange, off-putting flavor.
On the positive side, the atmosphere is good, the vibe is fun, and the putt putt course is an entertaining way to spend an evening. If you do decide to go, do yourself a favor and grab McDonald’s beforehand, then just stop in here for the putt putt and maybe a drink while you play.
While the adults relaxed, the kids enjoyed the mini golf course. They had fun, but said it wasn’t exciting enough to come back for. The biggest downside was the service, which fell short and left us disappointed.
Overall, it’s a fun spot to check out once, especially with kids—but don’t go in expecting great service.
Today we tried a bunch of appetizers. The coconut shrimp was very good. The tater tot volcano was missing half if its volcano (as advertised on menu) and the server brought a cup of jalepenos when I asked if there should be chopped peppers on the dish. It was missing something else but I forgot what it was. It want very good anyway.
The wonton chips. Some were good. Great idea! However they were so coated in oil my kid and I were both sick later. I saw other people order it and they didn’t look as shiny so I think ours was possibly a fluke. The dips were good (guac and queso), and the black beans were very good. The cauliflower nuggets were not good. I order this dish at a lot of restaurants. This is not one you should order that at.
We got both desserts. The churros were pretty decent, but the pineapple upside down cake was legitimately not edible. I’m not sure if it was old, over cooked, microwaved too much or what. It also lacked a sauce promised in the description.
So, overall really disappointing and greasy. And, while the atmosphere is kind of cute, it’s just really busy and cups and putters, and all kinds of stuff are left all over. The people using the putt putt course seem to be kind of inconsiderate of the staff. People could easily take their cup somewhere when they finish.
The putt putt is cute and with Groupon deal it is worth it. But with the large groups taking forever, I would not pay more. We skipped holes because it took so long.
All in all I would go back for putt putt and an overly sweet cocktail but maybe not food.
