I chose Alicia’s to cater a small first birthday party on a Saturday and guests loved the food! Everyone was impressed with the spread and presentation, and some unique offerings were topics of conversation throughout the event. I included delivery and setup with serveware in my contract, which reduced my stress during party prep. All I needed to do was have a location available for setup and Jonathan arrived to arrange everything before explaining each item. Before the event, I worked with Lorin by phone to review menu options and guest count. I would love to host another event using Alicia’s for catering! (Note: custom cookies, table linen, and paper goods in photos were sourced elsewhere.)

Unfortunately we had a bad experience upon arrival due to the rudeness of the owner Alicia. It was our first time here and taking my parents to eat. The place was lovely and quaint however crowded as we arrived and we weren’t sure where to order as there are two signs/lines and a barrier blocking where to stand/form a line.

When trying to figure out what line to get in there was a woman blocking the way so we assumed she was in line and simply asked if she was in line as to not cut in front of her. Her response was rude saying no with zero explanation. Confused by her reaction, we then asked if she worked here thinking she’d explain and she acted shocked that we didn’t know she was “Alicia” and proceeded to be dismissive saying I’m Alicia and not welcoming and walked off. She then sat with people at a table chatting and didn’t even acknowledge us as if she couldn’t be bothered.

Unique places like this are hard to find and if you want to keep business going, remember to be inclusive to non locals. I’d remind the owner to reflect on how she interacts with new people as she left an awful energy with us as customers.

The rest of the staff was lovely and friendly

I definitely love their decorations and overall atmosphere. They are friendly. They even offer to customize our coffee. And another thing I’d like to mention is their marble cake. They told me it’s their family’s favourite and it is indeed delicious. They open fron Wednesday to Saturday. Would come back again.

Had the Cranberry Chicken sandwich, it was delicious! The rye bread was crispy and fresh. The plum was perfectly ripe! The best part, though, were the two cookies they included for dessert. Amazing!

Ok so I usually go to Alicia’s because their food is freshly made and we love their sandwiches. We were there recently and ordered the Soup “lunch” which was $16.50. I specifically asked if it contained pepper (check your cameras) and they said no. I’m allergic to pepper. After eating half, it definitely contained pepper and I started to itch. I don’t have a severe allergy but I hate the ichies for hours. Secondly, when the description says it comes with cheese, I expected CHEESE. Given Alicia’s fresh qualities, I expected maybe a small Brie triangle and a couple small slices of cheddar etc. Nope! I got a prepackaged string cheese and a wax wrapped BabyBell which is far from cheese. It is processed garbage. This is a $16.50 adult plate. I was extremely disappointed.

Alicia’s catered my grandmother’s funeral reception, they were so helpful at every step of the planning process. Also, the food was so good that our guests happily took all the leftovers home.

Great food with great presentation. Also ready yo cook or reheat items for purchase. Her quiche is a must if you go for breakfast – served wirh roasted baby potatoes, an apple sausage, baked apple slices and fruit.
Don’t forget to visit the small boutique attached.

Amazing little diner! I met Alicia she was great! She gave me some chocolate chip cookies that were huge and delicious. Atmosphere was positive. I had the lox bagel and it was delicious. I never had one before with Fresh basil and cucumber. Great locally owned place. They even have a retail side. Way to go Alicia! Look out Martha!
