I felt like I was back down south! I can’t believe we have authentic Mexican right up the street, but it was fantastic. Tamales, pineapple smoothie, guacamole, house made chips and birria tacos were so good I had to go back and order more. Everyone was super friendly and I even got my five year old to try everything with a thumbs up.

This place is so good. Highly recommend the birria and mango on a stick. The food is authentic and the staff accommodating. Very excited to get more food options in Manlius.

The food was decent, however the amount you get for the price was not worth it at all. I also was quite disappointed in finding out that nothing is even made there. It seems as though it’s all made elsewhere, and brought there in Crock pots. There are no stoves or anything in the actual establishment. Microwaved and crock-Potted food, for the price being charged I was not impressed. It’s really sad, because I was extremely excited to have authentic Mexican food. The service, it seems like there’s one person there maybe two at a time. We ordered ahead of time, They asked us what time we wanted to pick it up, We had one taco, birria, and tamales with street corn and we got there and still had to wait a half an hour for everything to be done… Another time I walked in, because I wanted street corn, And it took 10 minutes to make that, with canned corn… I think they definitely need a bigger establishment, where they are able to make the food right there on site…

The food here is awful. We got steak nachos and chicken tacos. The chips in the nachos were good but the steak ruined them. The steak was so fatty and gross. The chicken tacos….a monkey could make better. What we got were soft tacos with plain chicken. No tomato’s no cheese no sour cream. The price we paid was ridiculous for the quality. I could have paid less at Taco Bell and had better food. If you want real, GOOD Mexican drive 10 minutes down the road to chittenango.

This place is amazing. They own a bigger restaurant in canastota ( La Bamba MTZ ). This is a smaller mostly to go restaurant but they have tables and you are welcome to stay and eat. The family that owns it is so friendly, although there aren’t many workers there it’s because it’s a small family business. The food is really really good and it’s definitely more authentic Mexican food. They are happy to substitute items within the menu whenever. One review stated the food is not made there and that is incorrect as I’ve seen them grill my steak when I went right after it opened. Highly reccomended this small gem in Manlius!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the food and friendliness of the owners. I felt so welcome and the food was so very authentic. I got my favorite, tamales, and they were the best and BIGGEST I’d ever had. The Birria meat is so delicious. I got it on nachos and it was a great decision.
As far as the atmosphere, it really wasn’t my thing. Its bright yellow inside, colorful, with only a few tables. Paper plates and plastic cutlery, which I hope is temporary. A Great place to take kids. To me, it seems like more of a carry out place, which is what I’ll probably do from now on. I just prefer a more sensory-friendly, intimate atmosphere with real plates and silverware. It was clean, and the music was great, though!
Next time, I’m definitely ordering the street corn and birria again. To go. 🙂

When I first walked in to place an order, two people (I’m assuming the owners) were sitting at a table. The gentleman rolled his eyes when I said I would like to place an order. He was then polite when taking the order, but not a good first impression. If you don’t want customers, you shouldn’t be in business. I ordered birria and it was okay. As many others have said, the cost to quality and portion ratio is not acceptable. Many wealthy folks in our area will look past cost for a quality meal and good service. The owners should take these reviews seriously and make adjustments, otherwise they may have trouble turning profits.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I ordered food online. Everything online indicated the place was open, including a confirmation email and pickup time for my food. I went to pick it up, but the place is closed down and the phone number disconnected. My card was charged and the payment posted. Not sure who runs an operation like this. I have since reported this fraud. On another note, the food is mediocre and the prices are 3x what they should be.

Went yesterday for opening night after much anticipation! I loved it and my toddler ate most of his bean quesadilla and crazy pineapple! We all agreed the tamales were delicious and the mango on a stick and crazy pineapple were super tasty though the two other adults I was dining with pointed out that it would be nice to have options for different levels of spiciness for the fruit and entrees. I loved my quesobirria even though they ran out of the broth (understandable for opening night) one other diner felt his birria was bland bc he didn’t know it was supposed to be served with flavorful broth. Super excited to try out more of their selection!

Have been here twice since it opened and each time was great! Food is authentic and fresh! A great spot to dine independently or “grab n go” when looking to “treat yourself” to something good! I’ve dined in both times and found the service to be very friendly and quick! They also have a full hard ice cream selection.
