Drove up from Eau Claire on Saturday evening to find it closed. Not everyone uses Facebook to see if something is open. I am not sure of the circumstances of the “temporary” closure of this restaurant but when I looked on GOOGLE it said it was open. We were able to be seated at a restaurant that was actually open and had a great meal. I updated the star rating but honestly if you are running a business then it should be operating. I am sure you lost a good bit of money because there were 4 cars in the parking lot at the time I was there and they left too. My review reflects some of their sentiments. Have a good week and I hope the business works out.

Come early! We get there when the doors open on Friday so we don’t have to wait. Have always gotten the fried cod. Really nice salad bar with soup. The drinks are cheap and the grasshopper & pink squirrel are really really good!

One of our local favorites, great salad bar, awesome drinks, and the food is always good. Service is friendly. Grab a drink before you eat, relax and relax some more. We come here often, just a nice laid back local place to eat and enjoy super.

Good food! Steaks were cooked evenly and delicious. My shrimp was great also. We love the salad bar option for the kids menu. The food is always consistently great and our waitress was friendly and informative. We didn’t drink but the after dinner drinks looked very tasty.

The place hasn’t changed and I hope it never does. The food and service was top notch. Every one of the staff was working their tails off as they all wore comfortable walking/running shoes for a reason. Customer service isn’t missed so please tip accordingly as it’s well deserved. They have an abundance of to-go containers, so don’t be afraid to load up on the epic salad bar.
I also highly suggest a pre and post old-fashioned, long as you have a DD. Especially those non-native Wisconsinites! They’ll add to an already enjoyable night at Old Abe’s Supper Club.

Love the old school vibes. Nothing too fancy, just great food, drinks, and service! If you have a smaller appetite, grab a burger, they are delicious. The fish fry is amazing on Fridays, as is the prime rib on Saturdays.
