A must try fried rice. Yao’s is true culinary experience. Our waitress Juliet was knowledgeable and recommended amazing plates. We had the three pigs fried rice, beef and broccoli cavetelli, general Yao’s chicken, and shanghai sticky ribs. All became our favorites. We also had two desserts that are one of a kind. (see the photos) better than any words I can write. The atmosphere and family style dinning separates them from the rest. The restaurant operates by reservations and for a moment we thought it was the only way to dine, but today we took our chances… we are so glad we did as they also take walk ins. I highly recommend this chic , modern, and classy Chinese restaurant.

The hype is real. Food is amazing and staff are so welcoming and nice. Food portions are MASSIVE so the pricing is worth it for sure. We ordered way toich but everything was delicious and very hot. Happy Hour portions are not skimpy to say the least. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, sticky ribs, crab Rangoon (no picture), three pigs fried rice and the steak stir fry with rice cakes.

Yao’s was such a great experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely yummy—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried tasted spot on and hit the craving perfectly. What really stood out, though, was how incredibly fast the service was. Our food came out way quicker than expected without feeling rushed, and everything was still hot and well-prepared. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for delicious Chinese food with fast, efficient service, Yao’s is definitely a place worth checking out. I’ll for sure be coming back

Very clean and appealing restaurant. We had lunch which was priced on par with other restaurants like this one.
The restaurant is positioned on the far left in the Publix plaza as you are looking at Publix.
Steven was an excellent server, very kind and attentive.
Honey Orange Chicken lunch box was good especially the chicken and salad as both the sauce and the salad dressing were very tasty. The spring rolls were overcooked and had an unusual inner stuffing which for us wasn’t as good as some spring rolls. The fried rice seemed stale and wasn’t as flavorful as we are used to.
The restroom was very clean as was the booth we sat at.
We loved the nice chopsticks offered to dine with along with silverware so the guest can choose which utensils they prefer.
The chef delivered the food himself which was served hot from the grill which was a nice touch we don’t see often these days.
Finally, the music was ambient, soft, and went well with the atmosphere.

Came in for Christmas day for an early dinner and everything was really good.
We had the Shanghai Ribs, Spicy Chili Wontons and the Mongolian beef.
Everything was flavorful!
The only only ding on service was they forgot to give us utensils including chop sticks but otherwise good service.
Update: Forgot to mention the Black Sesame soft serve which was also tasty!

Food was pretty good and cocktails were tasty! We had 4 apps, 2 entrees, 2 sides and 5 drinks for under $180. I took horrible pics, but you can see our delicous roasted cabbage side and crab udon entree. I would definitely go back. Our server gave us cards for free drinks on our next visit too! Thanks dude cheers

We walked in and was greeted with kindness. These 2 young men cleaned off the table we preferred to sit. This is a smaller restaurant but looks as though there is plenty of seating. Their lunch portions were generous and were priced just right. I had the chicken and vegetables with fried rice. It wasn’t bad. They don’t have the traditional white sauce which I have been use to eating with my food. My husband got the rib char sue pork. He thought the food was decent. This place has a good wine selection and a sit at bar. I don’t believe it’s a full bar. Their bathrooms were nice and clean. It is a one room toilet and sink restroom. There was plenty of room for the handicap who need a wheelchair. My lunch was highlighted by the fantastic server. He never let my drink run dry and was very attentive without being overbearing. We had hoped there was sushi there but sadly they do not serve it there. I didn’t care for the krab Rangoon there. It had no flavor and you couldn’t taste any “crab” whatsoever. All over not a bad place to go.

Yao’s is a true gem of Oviedo. My family and I have dined here several times and they never disappoint. Too quality meal, service, and wonderful staff.

Sharing a bit of everything is the way to go. Sticky Ribs and Gong Gong Eggrolls are a must to start. D’s Dumplings and Char Sui Pork are also great appetizers. Our favorites are Charred Edamame and the Chili Wontons. The chili oil at Yao’s is hands down the best we’ve ever had and we’ve been to a LOT of places, including NY China towns.

For the shareable meals, the Honey Orange Chicken is amazing. Crispy on the outside and very tender chicken in the perfect sauce. We love the Mongolian Beef, but honestly everything here is so good.

Tonight we had the Duck Noodle Soup (pictured) that is a special not normally on the menu. But I promise you, when you see it available you have to order it. The best you will find anywhere around here!

And the drinks! Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon & Five Deadly Venoms are two of our favorites. Seriously all of the drinks we’ve had here are done perfectly. Had the Lemon Drop Martini tonight.

I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Yao’s has become our favorite spot in Oviedo to eat or just grab a drink and apps on Friday date night. We love the atmosphere.

We are so lucky to have Yao’s here in Oviedo. Great food and great people!
