The hostess was very rude to us upon entry and sat us directly next to another couple. The place had multiple open tables and when we asked to move to one, the waitress got the manager who made a scene and told us that we couldn’t sit there because the restaurant was too busy. We only wanted to be further from other diners because we had a 2 year old with us. My husband and I both ordered prime rib and we ordered kid’s menu ribs for our daughter. The ribs came out first and there was a large steak knife on the plate, partially under the ribs. The waiter set the plate in front of our daughter and walked away. I was astonished that an adult would give a toddler a large knife. When the prime rib came out, it was cooked medium-well. We both ordered medium rare, which is typical for such a cut of meat. We told the waiter that it was cooked far too much and we could not eat it because it was very tough. He said he was sorry about that and walked away without fixing anything. When he brought us the check, we were required to pay for both prime ribs even though we did not eat them. The waiter must have known that we were very unhappy with our meals because he appologized about the downfalls and did not offer to box up our full plates of food.

Our experience was awful. Henry, our waiter was very disorganized, stated that he only worked weekends and he was unfamiliar with the new menu that had been changed a few months prior. Our appetizer took 35 minutes to arrive at the table. We requested our salads and bread and that took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. Henry stated that he “screwed up one of the steak selections” and it would only be a few minutes to correct the mistake. Our main entrees took 72 minutes to arrive to our table. Reservations were for 7pm and our steaks came at 8:12pm. The filet was burnt to a crisp, hard to cut, and dificult to chew. Henry stated that “the cook hurried to cook it since the order was screwed up”. He stated that he “removed the filet dinner price from the tab total”. However the receipt still showed the $25.00 charge for the filet dinner. He removed the wrong dinner from the tab. He stated that “he would bring a new tab with the proper corrections”. However he came back to the table and stated that he removed $3.00 from the tab total and “did not bother to redo the tab”. We left the restaurant. We will not return to this restaurant and we will not recommend Medina Steak and Seafood Company to anyone.

Dear Mr. Editor,
I wanted to share with you, about 2 extraordinary Businesses in Medina: The Medina Steakhouse and the Main Street Grill.
On Thanksgiving Day, the Main Street Grill provided Thanksgiving Dinner, for all who came.
On Christmas Day, the Medina Steakhouse, provided Christmas Dinner.
Both businesses, their owners, the associates, and all the volunteers, that helped are a testament to the Grace of God, and the selfless service, and love, that is given to each and every person & child, that’s has walked thru these doors. Both of these businesses, fed myself and a Mother and her children, who wouldn’t have had dinner on both holidays.
With all my heart, I am grateful and thankful for all the loving-kindness of the owners, their families/volunteers of Main Street Grill, and Medina Steakhouse for making all, especially me feel special , welcomed, and cared about. Both of these Businesses represent Medina, as a shining beacons to those in need, and remind us all, that is what the holidays are all about, LOVE!

Thank you,
Very Sincerely,
Michele Joseph-

Good Food, Horrible Service
The food is good but I’m not sure it was worth the price. I had to send my steak back twice because it was bloody when I ordered medium well. The waitress never apologized, was socializing with the staff and I had to get up to find her and tell her it wasn’t cooked well. Also wasn’t good at giving refills. I will not be going back, for the price of the food the service was terrible.

Fine dining. A high end restaurant with a nice atmosphere. This restaurant is in a historic building. The menu has lots of choices and took me a little while to decide, you might want to look at it on their website before you go. I was seated immediately however later on in the evening I could see the benefit of making reservations.

The food was expensive but well worth it.

We went on New Years Eve. Our waitress was courteous and helpful. Our soda was flat at first. Asked for new; they were fine. Food was good but over priced.

We loved it…it was late Monday night..we had left Media Hospital visiting a friend..and I took a chance on it…there are many other places around it..the Irish place and others….I’m so glad we went here..we had bacon wrapped scallops as a app…The jumbo shrimp and sauce on my fettuccine was incredible…my wife’s meatloaf looked like 2 perfectly grilled steaks…my daughter had the chicken fingers and fries..and they were out of this world as well..thin but tasty fries..and perfectly cooked juicy chicken…all 3 of us ate, with the appetizer and drinks for less than $55.00 (minus tip) and the service was great too…very friendly…met the chef and owner just sitting at the bar watching the world series…nice as can be..well worth your time to go here..
