I’ve been a long time regular at Empire for good reason. Service is always excellent and the pool tables are the best in town. I’ve been looking forward to the opening of the new location since I heard about it and I have not been disappointed. I would highly recommend for a great place to play pool or just hang out with friends.

Empire is hands down the best spot for all the local pool players out there. You can expect a clean bar, friendly and accurate service, and immaculate pool tables. The owner and bartenders are all wonderful folks who keep the place in great shape. If you liked Old Empire, you’re gonna love it here!

Terrible service. The bartender made one of our shots wrong, we informed him that it wasn’t made correctly. His reaction was to throw away all of the shots dramatically (even the ones that were made correctly), and to start cursing at us. He then continued to verbally insult us and get in our face aggressively, and when we called him out for his childish behavior he threatened to call the cops. If you want to have a good night out, I would suggest going anywhere else

I went to the new empire last night for the first time and most likely won’t go back due to one belligerent bartender that couldn’t keep his emotions in check! He messed up a drink and I told him that’s not what it is, and he very aggressively picked the shot up and threw it in the trash “ I was like wow didn’t have to do that!” So many people at the bar even then chimed in and said “woah like calm down bro! We all would have drank that what’s your problem?” He then proceeds to aggressively throw out all the shots and act like a child! He got up in our faces and wanted to call the cops(never did cause we were right).. when he could’ve just made the drink correctly and everything would’ve been fine! By the way he handled that showed everything I needed to know about this bar. The management did nothing but gaslight us. He’s got a big white scraggly beard with a yanky doodle hat with a feather and that says it all! Do better hiring people Empire!

I travel all over the country for work, I’m in a different city every weekend. I am an avid pool player. I’ve been in the KC area all weekend and I can say that the pool scene isn’t as big here as it is in other cities across the country. I’ve visited several pool halls in the area this weekend, and Empire Bar and Billiards tops the list for me in the KC area. They have one 9’ diamond with tight pockets ($8/hr), and several 7’ diamonds, im not sure the hourly rate for the 7’ tables, but I’m pretty sure that they are $1.00/game, quarter tables. It’s a great pool hall, I’m glad I found it, I wish I would have found it Friday night when I pulled into town.
