If you see the Rastarant tent anywhere, you HAVE to stop in, regardless of if you’re an omnivore, vegetarian or vegan!! We found them last year at the Garlic Festival in CT and haven’t stopped talking about how incredible the food is and how huge the portions were! We were so excited to see them on the vendor list again this year and it was a must need stop to complete our day! We got the ‘Gimme Every Ting’ meal and it literally will feed you for days. The staff is so nice and you can tell they genuinely love what they do! I can’t say enough good about them!

I never even got the chance to order from this place because they don’t list a phone number. What restaurant offers both pickup and delivery but gives customers no way to verify the business or confirm a transaction? And somehow they’re still listed on ToastTab.
I don’t trust any of these reviews, and I wouldn’t risk driving there until they make themselves reachable. Every social media page they have intentionally leaves out their number, and apparently this has been an issue for over a year.
I’m a delivery driver from out of state who just wanted some soulful, plant-based food. But the lack of accessibility and transparency was such a red flag that I felt compelled to warn others with this review.

My boyfriend and I came across this food truck at the garlic festival. The prices were kind of high for the portion that was given. I actually didn’t even realize that this place was vegan, that was my fault for not reading. The food definitely tasted good but my boyfriend was highly disappointed by the sizing of the food there wasn’t that much “meat” it was mainly rice. I’m not sure if I would personally try again. But that shouldn’t stop you from trying! The woman that served us was nice as well.

I’ve set up next to Rastarant at several farmer’s markets and have been a little hesitant as I am accustomed to other sources of protein. Today I was set up across from Rastarant and the absolutely amazing smell was drifting my way making an already hungry “me” salivate. I had to try this food and was not disappointed at all whatsoever. I may not be vegan but I will definitely buy this again , excellent!! If you are unsure get the “give me every ting” platter ….so good.

I’m a 240 lb vegetarian and noticed Rastarant in Hartford CT a vegan / Jamaican joint. Anyways I went there today expecting to walk into a restaurant. Come to find out i was greeted by the owner Gigi who explained they mainly only do catering out of this particular spot. Gigi went ABOVE AND BEYOND to put together her famous Rasta Pasta topped with jerk pea protien and drizzled with their Tre Bae sweet heat sauce. The dish was absolutely DELICIOUS and plentiful. I want to thank chef Gigi for being so courteous as to take care of me, she was an absolute doll. I found that I can order at minimum 5 or 6 pre made dishes in bulk. I’m super excited to see what else is on the menu and can’t wait to experience chefs absolutely delicious recipes very soon. I’ll DEFINITELY be going back!!! GO CHECK EM OUT!!! Thank u Chef Gigi…..until next time

My coworker and I decided on a very hot day stopped by to checkout and support the vendors at the planted culture vegan market in NYC at Washington square park… RastaRant is a must to purchase from..the crew was friendly and very welcoming..but that pasta was hands down the best ever. The pasta was cooked perfectly and that sauce, I want a whole bottle of it. Ny coworker and I could not stop talking about it. I’m looking forward to the next event for sure.

I just finished visiting rastarant at there pop up and watch a square park in new york city. I was so excited to see the noxtail on the menu! And be greeted by the chef at the register( that thought I skipped the line but that was a mistake… But now in hind sight, after tasting the food.Yeah I would have skipped the line….lol joking) i ordered the large order of noxtail with the butter beans and rice with a cabbage salad on top! Let me tell you how excited I was to bite into this and it was so good!I dont want to try to imagine how they invented this meat That was so tender, flavorful ,full of caribbean spices and had that kick! So good.i did wanted a visual image of our real oxtail in the dish, but It didn’t matter because this meat was so tender and flavorful and full of goodness, if you live anywhere near this restaurant in Connecticut, you better go and get yourself a lunch, dinner,Whatever !unfortunately I was not able to try the other dishes. And I wish I did hopefully I have an opportunity to do so in the future!!!! My wishlist is to try the rasta pasta and the fried chicken…….Manifesting! Don’t go run and get your life!!!
