The Staff were very friendly and helpful!
We ordered Chicken and Waffles.
It was delicious!
Plus, they also sold us a half dozen of their Biscuits to go, which I still haven’t tried yet, but I heard they’re exquisite!
We’ll be visiting this location again in the future!
I tried a Squawking Goat recently and was mostly impressed. The fried chicken breast was tender and juicy but nowhere near the size depicted on the company’s website. The creamy smooth goat cheese was a nice contrast to the bite of the pepper jelly, too. The biscuit, however, was a bit of a letdown. I know they make them regularly and in small batches so they should always be fresh but mine was kind of stale and hard, and lacked moisture or a buttery zing that a good southern style biscuit has.
A dining companion had the “Extreme Biscuits and Gravy” with bacon and it too featured dry, hard biscuits. The peppery sausage gravy was thick, creamy and delicious, though. The eggs and bacon were just okay, too. Nothing bad, but nothing to justify the prices charged.
Easily the most disappointing thing I tried, though, were the Smashbrowns. The two pieces I received were greasy and burnt, negating any good flavor from the creamy potato interior bits. The ranch dipping sauce couldn’t save these things.
Ending on a positive note, I’ll say that the workers at this location were all really nice and pleasant to deal with, which was nice as I’d never been to one of these before.
Overall, it was a nice experience, but not worth it for the cost (or calories!) to eat on a regular basis.
