If you’re in Los Angeles and you enjoy Japanese food, this is definitely a place you should experience at least once. From the restaurant’s atmosphere to the quality of the food, I honestly have nothing to complain about. The dishes are also very reasonably priced for what you get. Highly recommended.

Great Japanese restaurant in Torrance, service staff are very nice and polite Japanese people, food is solid and reasonably priced. Parking can be tough in that plaza but definitely will be coming here again. The chicken katsu breading is very crispy which I like, and the karaage chicken has a juicy interior with a crispy exterior.

I’ve passed this shopping center so many times and never knew there was a hidden gem in plain sight. This place specializes in Japanese comfort foods and everything is really good. My personal favorites are the curry as well as the bento box combos. You can get a variety of options that are sure to satisfy all pallets.

This place is really solid. The katsu was especially good, service was more than adequate, and it’s priced pretty reasonably. Reasonably. Menu is interesting with daily specials. No complaints.

Horrible waitress. We went in on 9/28 Sunday.

My wife showed early sign of diabetes, and as she’s been doing for the last 5 years, she takes very small amount of celery (see picture) to keep the glucose level down prior to eating. Don’t know the science behind it but this is what she’s been doing without any single issues at more than 50 different restaurants. We sat down and younger waitress says, “we don’t allow outside food”. We tried to explain but she says this is a company policy…. Fine.

An older and nicer lady takes our order and we order two dishes. She later comes back and says they don’t allow outside food. We now get a chance to fully explain about the diabetic situation and she apologizes and leaves. Older lady goes back to the younger waitress and they talk in Japanese looking at my direction giving me the angry look. By now I’m frustrated by the absurdity of the situation so I take the celery bag and showed it to them asking what is the problem? We ordered one food for each of us and my wife has health issues. Older waitress again apologises and tells me they did not know it. All misunderstanding cleared so I’m thinking all is good. Not with the younger waitress. She, in a condescending voice tell me “this is company policy. Could you please eat it outside and comeback?” Wait, so you’re saying that I should tell my wife to take her tiny bag of celery and eat it in the parking lot and comeback to eat at the restaurant?

I kept my composure, cancelled our order, and walked out. Long time patron but never going back. Horrible horrible waitress (younger waitress, older waitress was very nice).

These kinds of inflexibility is what shuts restaurants down. There it is…my first ever negative restaurant review and I’m still confused by the absurdity.

Incredible food! I would highly recommend getting a reservation ahead of time since we went on a Thursday night and it still had a line out the door! We had an absolutely divine poke bowl, Katsu curry and sushi. Excellent quality rice as well, I preferred the green tea cheese cake to the coffee jelly but that might be a matter of personal preference. Next time I would order a coffee or drink with the cheesecake since it is a little dry.

Pleasant dining experience and food!

Food was delicious and hit the spot. Food was quick to be prepared, and was fresh hot.

Service was nice and friendly. Location is small, so the place feels intimate, and cozy.

Would definitely come again, if I were in the area. Recommend.

Came for a late lunch and it was busy but we were seated quickly. Food came out very fast and was absolutely delicious! Ordered the udon carbonara, takana fried rice, and the una ju and everything was so tasty. Service was great as well. Would love to come back!

Something special is happening here. Yes, excellent Japanese food BUT they are experimenting with hybrids. Enjoy any entree. One must finish with the green tea cheesecake. Simply delicious. We will return.

Extensive menu with tasty offerings.

Ordered:
~Udon Carbonara: udon was bouncy and chewy
topped with mushrooms and bacon strips in a creamy sauce. Good flavor. Must try.

~Spicy Miso Ramen: flavorful broth and chewy noodles.

~Takana Fried Rice w/ Clam Chowder Croquette: fried rice was good, loved the pickled mustard greens. The egg was a lil overcooked. The croquettes were crispy.

Small restaurant with limited seating. Plenty of parking.
