This place makes their own ice cream and it is fantastic. They have been in business for over 100 years. Their ice cream tastes delicious and it is so fresh. I absolutely love their chocolate ice cream. Hope they are in business for many more years to come.

Visited today based on the lofty reviews; I get the quaint 60s factor (including the odor) but cmon people, raise your standards a bit. It was a standard scoop of freezer burned run of the mill chocolate ice cream; three stars because they seemed a nice family. Otherwise any Turkey Hill will do.

Hands down my favorite ice cream place to go to. My dad has been going to this place since he was in his early teens, he’s 63 now. He introduced me to this place around the same age he was when he started going. I do live in Pa, but anytime we were in Maryland and remotely near there, I’d beg him to stop and get some ice cream. They don’t have as many flavors as other places, but in my opinion the mastered the basic flavors they have! My favorite is either the chocolate or strawberry, but I also have tried their other flavors which are great also! I hope to take my future family there as well:)

Best ice cream, ever. Places like this are increasingly uncommon… an old-fashioned throw-back almost unchanged for 50 years. Always vanilla and chocolate, plus whatever fresh fruit flavors that are available, all handmade on-site.
Treat yourself and try anything in-season, blueberry and peach are among the best. And the vanilla is the best I’ve ever had, anywhere.
