Google won’t let me post videos but believe me their food is great. I am not usually a fan of pozole in the summer but theirs is so good it doesn’t matter if it’s 200° outside i’m still going to order it. Tamales are served with banana leaves and the al pastor had cinnamon which is new for our Michoacán selves but it was good. Service is great, the boy at the counter recognizes us and is always kind. Will absolutely be back. 10/10

The prices have gone up on the drinks, but the food is amazing!! This is my favorite taco/Mexican food restaurant in Newberg. Nothing beats their homemade chicken tacos with all of the wonderful fresh toppings that can be added.

Best darn burrito construction I’ve experienced on a no rice burrito. Meat was plentiful and beautifully seasoned. I missed the part of the sign that said only two salsas, but I’m a salsa fiend. Hoping this positive review makes up for that. I’ll be back next time I’m in newberg!

Hard pass:
NACHOS were disgusting. ❌ Canned cheese sauce, zero avocado even though that’s what’s advertised on them. The carnitas on the nachos were old with dark chewy ends and dried out like they’d been stored uncovered. I’ve never ever ever ever ever had nachos served at a Mexican restaurant with cheese sauce. Not for me. If you love canned cheese sauce you will adore these nachos.

We were greeted by a gal who said “you guys are going to have to give me a minute” I don’t think she was happy we were there. It was fine because we didnt know what we wanted anyway.

The ambiance was horrible with loud music and questionable videos on the tv.

Will never return. I’d rather not eat.
We only went there because the place across the street was closed.

Came here a week after tonsils surgery.
I was desperate for something and though bean’s would be decent, the lady behind the counter was so accommodating and gave me a better alternative rather than just rice and beans and omg it helped healed me I swear.
Also, tortillas…they’re home made in house and so good.

We were visiting Newberg and checked this place out. The food is sooo good and the people are amazing. We ordered two burritos: spicy shrimp and loco burrito, both delicious. Definitely will come back 🙂

We really enjoyed eating at Taqueria El Burrito. We tried their street tacos, and their shrimp burrito, we really loved the salsa and sauce bar with a wide variety. I actually enjoyed the lack of salt in their dishes, you can always add salt if needed. Great customer service and decent price points. Overall great experience.

Everything was bland.

The lengua tacos were bland and soggy, and the tortillas didn’t hold up. They had nothing but the lengua and onions on them, in some sort of bland sauce or grease.

The quesadillas were soggy on bottom so the bottom of the tortillas stuck to the plate.

The burritos had all the meat on one end and veggies on the other, so one half was hot and the other cold.

The barria tacos were spicy but flavorless.

The table behind us was offered chips and salsa while they waited, but we weren’t, and were given only 2 cups of water to share between our table of 5. The wait was long, and they brought everything out separately so the first person was finished before the last 2 people had their food.

The salsa bar was not fresh, was sitting open and had flies on it.

Went to use the bathroom and the toilet seat was covered in pee, and the toilet paper was out.

We won’t be back.

We have eaten here several times and had them all to be satisfying experiences. Until today. For lunch today I ordered my usual: hand rolled carnitas tacos and refried beans. The tacos were dry, flavorless, and the meat was mostly fat. The refried beans were very runny. More like soup. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas. No sauce at all, and the the shredded chicken breast meat was so dry it was literally like eating mop strings. What a disappointment. With so many other great Mexican options, there is no reason to return here.
