We are excited to be back serving up some old favorites. As the story goes… Julius N. Cap Capri of Altoona, Pennsylvania, was placed in charge of all civilian mechanics at the base, then called Greenville Army Air Base. Mama Capri began making pizzas in her kitchen once a week for the Yankees at the base. Her workload became enormous. After World War II, Cap Capri remained in Greenville, and his family opened a log cabin restaurant on Augusta Road.

Remembering 1964 capris Stone Avenue went to Capri’s with my date. Always Went upstairs and ordered a pizza. so we could order a pitcher of beer.
2025 Capri’s on Pelham. This time I am of legal age to drink. The staff were just as kind and nice as 1964 and didn’t even need to order a pizza to get a glass of wine. Thank you, Sarah! What a special young lady. OMOTENASHI look it up. She could be flight attendant for JAL ️
I had the famous Capri’s lasagna, included Caesar salad! Ordered a glass of red wine.
The food was delicious and the highlighter of the evening was the kindness and generosity of Sarah, my waitress. OMOTENASHI look it up Americans
So much more to say about the 2025 Capri’s
Buon appetito

I’ll start with the food. First time we went I played it safe and tried the lasagna. It was some of the best lasagna I’ve ever had. It comes in this oval dish and is covered in baked cheese. It’s incredible.
Second time was Chicken Marsala. It was very good, but I think the lasagna was better.
Third time was tonight. I had heard that they hand make their mozzarella sticks. Personally I think the frozen ones are delicious so how much better could they be when they’re hand made? The difference is night and day!! Those cheese sticks are by far the best I’ve ever had. They will be ordered every time from now on. For my entrée it was time to really put them to the test. I’m an Alfredo junkie and am unfortunately disappointed in a lot of Alfredo sauces I get at restaurants. I did the build your own with the 12oz. portion of linguini with Alfredo sauce and topped with grilled shrimp and chicken. As soon as it was brought out to me I knew I was in for a treat. It was absolutely delicious, by far my best meal from there so far.
Let’s get to the service. First time was a party of 7 and Bev took care of us. We were all a bunch of first timers and she handled all of our questions like a pro. She took very good care of us, drinks stayed full. She even managed to get the birthday boy a piece of cake without embarrassing him too much. Bev rocked.
Tonight was a young lady named Emmaline. From the moment she came to our table she was so friendly and just really made you feel like you were special. Her service was phenomenal some of the best I’ve had in a while. Refills were never mentioned, they just showed up. I always get nervous when my cup gets less than half full. Emmaline was on it with all 4 of us she automatically showed up with fresh diet cokes for my wife and I and a pitcher of sweet tea for our friends. Emmaline was a 10 no doubt.
If you’re looking for good Italian food with exceptional service you’ve got to check out Capri’s. You can thank me later.
Our server, Jacqueline according to the receipt, should probably not be given large party tables any longer. Or atleast let her handle the party table and give the smaller tables like ours to other servers.
We barely saw her, and when we did she was only at the table for a moment. At one point she came by to take our order, I asked if we could start with two appetizers, and before I could continue with the rest of the order she was already gone from the table.
A manager had to bring us drink refills. We were there for almost 2 hours total time for just 3 people. I would not recommend.
