Got the fish meal with greens and Mac and cheese.
It was delicious and fish was still crispy and all was seasoned perfectly! Definitely tasted like it was made with love and would try some other items in the future.

Was on a job site right down the street usually am never out this way and found exactly what I was looking for.Had got the Fried Whiting with Mac & Cheese followed by rice and beans. Everything was seasoned and cooked well.

The food here was great- especially for it to be tucked away in Groton. My husband got a large jerk chicken with rice/peas and yams and I got the large stew chicken with rice/peas and mac and cheese. The flavors were on point and authentic. Prices were great for the portion sizes as well. We’ve been looking for a spot like this since moving here last year, safe to say we’ll be back!

Incredible home cooked soul food. Oxtail was fall off the bone, sides and everything was very well seasoned and good portions. Price is very reasonable. This is the spot if you’re looking for good priced delicious food and support a local business.

My fiancé and I tried the oxtail, and we both agreed it is so delicious! Highly recommend. Everything including the sides were very flavorful. T-Mak is truly a hidden gem in Groton! The owner is super kind and hardworking too. We will definitely come back to try the other menu items.

Bro in there was awesome to chat with soon as I walked in. Macaroni and cheese and them collard greens were perfect reminded me of Grandma’s she made 30 plus years ago!!! Will definitely come back. I had a medium plate and it was a lot of food as well!!!

This largely mirrors Tracy A.’s review. This is a very small, mom-and-pop take-out joint. They technically have a bodega (small neighborhood store), but it’s a work in progress.
The important thing here is absolutely fantastic food from T-Mak. There are quite a few good Puerto Rican restaurants in the area. T-Mak brings something new to the table: a Pan-African, West Indian twist to really make things delicious and interesting. For my meal, I got very spicy curry chicken (West Indian), rice and gandules (Puerto Rican), and collared greens with a side of sweet yams (Pan-African). It was all delicious and complemented each other perfectly.
The final bonus is price: for a little over twenty dollars, including a tip, I got a full lunch and had enough left over for most of a full dinner. Nice. Give T-Mak’s a try.

Listen.. u want some awesome authentic food.. this is the place! The food is amazing and the service is 10/10. Definitely would recommend! They will go above and beyond for their customers! Try it out you will not regret it!
