Lived near this restaurant for 5 years, but decided to try it for the first time with my family—and it did not disappoint! Our waitress greeted us the moment we walked in and seated us right away. We went during lunchtime, and I was impressed by the great value of the lunch specials, which come with rice, an egg roll, and soup or salad. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Crispy Spicy Shredded Beef, Combination Lo Mein, Eggplant with Szechuwan Sauce, and Spicy Honey Chicken. Each dish had its own delicious, unique flavor that really stood out. The Mongolian beef had a perfect balance of savory and sweet, and the eggplant had just the right amount of heat from the Szechuwan sauce. The Spicy Honey Chicken was wonderfully crispy, with a nice sweet-and-spicy kick. And don’t miss the housemade spicy mustard sauce—it’s the perfect complement with a great punch of flavor.

The waitress was very attentive, always making sure our table was cleared quickly without rushing us. The restaurant itself had a cozy, inviting atmosphere, perfect for family meals. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic, tasty Chinese food at a great price!

Good solid Sichuan food. The Kung pao chicken was delicious. The Map tofu was good, but could have been spicier with more chili oil, but at least it had hua jiao. The Singapore noodles didn’t disappoint, with jumbo shrimp, chicken, and bbq pork. Prices were reasonable and the portions generous. Expect to need take home containers…

We were customers of Szechuwan Garden for years. We always had a good relationship with the delivery driver. On July 23, 2025, we ordered food for delivery. On July 25, 2025, we were having the leftovers. In the course of consuming the food, my wife had a shard of metal in her mouth. The metal was in the food. I called Szechuwan Garden to alert them of the fact that that their food contained a piece of metal. We were not looking for our money back or anything – just to alert them of the hazard. I was met with indifference; specifically, “Okay. So sorry. Goodbye.” If this piece of metal had been ingested, it would have lacerated my wife’s esophagus and stomach. The manager called back and sought to argue about the fact that she felt I was rude to her daughter – the one who was indifferent about the presence of the metal in the food. Eventually, I wound up speaking to someone related to the owners. Based on what I was told, this is apparently a known hazard from a cleaning process for the woks. If this restaurant is aware of a known hazard, they need to promptly take corrective measures to protect the public from ingesting metal. See photo.

This was our first time here and we were looking forward to trying it for some time. I have to tell you that it didn’t disappoint! Such delicious food and great service. Our waiter served our wonton soup for us, quickly gave us waters and napkins and was just so attentive. We will absolutely come back soon! Such a great spot for a quick NYE dinner. Thank you for the food and the service.

This place is just not good at all. I don’t normally write reviews, but their food was so bad that I feel warranted to warn others to not come here.

To anyone interested in trying this place, you are much better off driving to A&W in Granada Hills or Northridge. Heck, drive a bit more to Sam Woo in Van Nuys for the best and bang for your buck. I’m just trying to save a fellow patron’s time and money from this gosh awful food. Why? Simply because with today’s prices on anything, people who are willing to shell out any money should get the best for what they pay for.

I wanted to to try their fried fish with pepper and salt and yang chow fried rice. The price came up to $35.12, so right off the bat, expensive food for just two plates that are not premium. They got my order wrong and gave me fried squid with pepper and salt. I can forgive this for I’ve never been here and wanted to try anything.

BLAND. REALLY REALLY BLAND CHINESE FOOD. As if they just fried the squid pieces in batter, placed it in the box after frying and placed chili peppers on top. The dish literally has the ingredient’s in the name. So, how can this not be tasty? There was no hint of taste of pepper or salt. Again, just bland batter fried on the squid and served.

The worst yang chow fried rice I’ve ever had! BLAND. The thing about yang chow fried rice is that it is a combination of frying rice with pork and shrimp with scallions. So, again… how can this dish now be so BLAND. It was almost as if they took freshly made white rice, then placed some lightly fried pork and shrimp without scallions.

Funny thing about this place is that it is a Chinese restaurant. It is so fascinating to have received BLAND dishes at a Chinese restaurant. Their dishes are known to be full of vibrant flavors. And yet, it was almost as if it was intentionally made terribly BLAND.

Save your money and time from this troubled Chinese restaurant. It’s like they do not believe in MSG or salt or any spices for that matter.

Just a terrible Chinese restaurant. They should be ashamed. Honestly, take the title “Chinese” off because it was not authentic. At all.

GO TO SAM WOO or A&W. They are REAL “CHINESE” restaurants that live up to their dishes that use spices.

Service was fine. The biggest issue was the food. We tried a few bites and had to leave. There was no way we could finish our food. My wife got the kung pao chicken: chewy, flavorless, awful. I ordered the Mongolian beef: chewy, flavorless, awful. Not sure if it was even real beef. The “fried rice”’was dry and it was just regular rice drenched in soy sauce (yet dry at the same time. Yikes)
If you want flavorless, overpriced food, this is your spot

A quick place for team lunch. Portion size was good. Service could have been more prompt as I had to ask for the server to take our order, refill, take out box.

Besides that food was good…will be back soon.

Excellent! This is how Chinese food is cooked and how it should taste!!! Thank you cause now you’re our to go Chinese restaurant! Baby Bok Choy! Me and my wife love it all. My favorite is the chicken and black beans, although I would prefer a stronger black bean flavor!

Update(1/7/2024): Sorry for the earlier pic’s as I was full and couldn’t remember what was what!
Pic 7: General Tsao’s chicken! YEAH!!! It’s soo good I’m laughing!!! Pic8: Mongolian Beef! Pic9: Crispy Beef! Pic10: Beef w/Snow Peas! All these beef ones where PurrFect! LOL The meat was soo good an tender!!! These are the ones we usually get! My wife said: The Tsao’s chicken is thee best! YES! Oh! An at least decent Chinese Restaurant will cook what you ask! This is a HALMARK I always look for! Sometimes they’ll charge a bit more but it’s almost always worth it! Real Char Siu and Snow Peas is another one I like! Or even the Chinese Sausage (Lop Cheung) and snow peas or almost anything! If you don’t know about it – it has a slight sweet flavor! If this cook(s) cook like this, then they know what they’re doing!!! And we’re definitely coming back for more! Try it – you’ll like it!
