Of all the beauty surrounding the Verde Valley and Sedona, Manzanita Restaurant may be the best kept hidden gem. The unassuming location will not awe you with beautiful red rock backdrops, but once you step inside, none of that will matter any more.

We came for our anniversary and the setting was perfectly romantic and intimate. The staff treated us like family, offering to take our picture in multiple locations and providing a celebratory dessert.

The space is warm and inviting, offering old warm charm that eludes most modern restaurants. The service is top notch, your drinks will remain filled, the free bread will keep arriving hot at your table, and your server will offer expert insight into every dish. Most importantly, the food is interesting and delicious. Try the venison special, the elk steak, the fish special, or any of the German specialities. For an appetizer, the salmon crepe is addictive. If you are looking for something off the beaten path, far from the pricey, trendy, and generic food in Sedona, come here and experience a uniquely local and exquisite Arizona restaurant.

Food was fantastic, portions are perfect. Definitely worth it. If ai could eat here more often I would. 10/10 highly recommend this place. It is really a hidden gem. It’s a bit on the more expensive side but I cant complain about that when the food is that good. The atmosphere is great, service is beyond kind and extremely helpful. You can tell that the people take pride in their work. Truly one of the best places I have ever eaten at.

The appetizer, brat bites, came out looking beautiful and tasting so delicious. The meal just got better from there. They are serving quality you would expect in a big city, this place is truly a gem in the middle of nowhere.

So for a small old school restaurant in a small town, this place isn’t bad at all. I mean, you can’t expect it to compete on equal footing with the restaurants in NYC or Charleston, but surely you don’t find your way to this area for that purpose. If you’re like me, being around this area for tourism purposes, then this restaurant will certainly suffice. I actually enjoyed their rabbit special. And the pumpkin soup was nice, it was slightly on the sweeter side, which I actually liked. Servers were great. That have indoor dining and also a small outdoor patio.
Side note, you should ask them why a Latin American-sounding restaurant is serving German cuisine (among other things). Interesting short story.

Nice staff, good atmosphere, and great food. The soup was clam chowder and it was great because flavors were on point, lots of clams, and very little potato (I despise “clam chowder” that’s just a chunky potato soup). The pork shank shown in the pics was as good or better than it looks. All the flavors were great, pork was super soft, and the sauce thats underneath is just incredible. We had brought our 2 year old as well because well we had too, and she was strangely well behaved thanks to the phenomenal food(my wife got a beef dish she really liked, but I don’t remember what it was called) . We all enjoyed our meals and will be coming back.

The best filet mignon and prime rib in the Verde Valley. All the food is fantastic with a great selection and superb service from the staff. We started with crab cakes and Irish loaded potato skins. Then we had the filet mignon and lamb loin, each with roasted veggies. Finished it off with a monster sized carrot cake with Carmel sauce.

I had a wonderful dinner here after learning about this place from Reddit and Google Maps. Food was good (I got the schnitzel), service friendly, and prices fair. I took a picture of the menu for folks that want to take a peek.

Really great restaurant! The atmosphere was great. Food was great. Service was great. We loved it. First time here and we will be back. We are gluten free and eating out is always hard. The chef was very accommodating and had more options than most places. The food was so tasty. We loved the pumpkin soup!

We absolutely loved this restaurant! We were staying nearby and found the restaurant through Google, and the menu sounded good. The restaurant had a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. I had wine, a salad, and the Mediterranean Salmon while my husband had beer, clam chowder, and the Elk Steak. We were too full for dessert, but the desserts looked amazing! Everything was wonderful, and the owners and staff were so welcoming and personable.
