I’ve been eating at Bob’s Barbecue since I was a kid, and honestly, at least since the early 90’s and probably longer than that.
Their barbecue baked potatoes? Elite. Just got one 2 days ago.. lol I LOOOOVE them.
I tried their loaded fries today — same delicious barbecue, just sitting on top of fries instead of a potato. They do go a little heavy on the cheddar, but thankfully it’s good cheddar, not the weird, fake tasting cheddar. VERY, VERY good! Definitely worth trying. [$10 w/tax]
If you want comfort food that actually comforts you, Bob’s is the place. I’ll probably still be eating here when I’m 90.

I ordered a barbecue sandwich and found a hair in it. When I told the staff, they tried to argue with me and said there was no hair and that they didn’t have any. I wouldn’t have brought it back if there wasn’t a problem. I ended up just getting my money back, but the way the situation was handled was unprofessional and disappointing.

I’m not sure why you felt the need to make up a story about me. There was a hair in my sandwich that’s why I brought it back. And just to be clear, being bald doesn’t mean you don’t have hair at all; facial hair still counts. Me and my mom each bought a sandwich because there were two of us, so if we only wanted one, that’s what we would’ve ordered. If we didn’t have the money, we wouldn’t have bought both sandwiches in the first place.
Also, why would we take a bite of a sandwich that had a piece of hair in it? And why would we go through all that trouble come back, explain the situation, and deal with the back and forth — just for $5.50? That makes no sense. I wasn’t trying to get money or start anything; I just expected the situation to be handled respectfully. Instead, you chose to argue and accuse me of lying, which was very unnecessary and Immensely unprofessional. Hopefully next time you choose to listen before trying to discredit your customers.

I have never eaten here due to the parking lot always looking empty, so has had me nervous, but some co-workers of mine were telling me about BOB’S bbq and how they order it often and thoroughly enjoy it.as I am looking to buy in bulk for this weekend family vacation. After looking over the reviews, I have to say I am quite nervous! The reviews are really half and a half between people either loving it or not liking it at all. But.. after that said, I’m still going to order for this weekend and just hope and pray that my family and I enjoy what we get. I will say one thing, I have been a server in my whole career and a lot of your reviews are saying you have young employees who just seem not to care at all and are rude.. word of advice, please hire more experienced servers or at least experienced customer service folks. As Professionalism and cleanliness in your place of business is very important!

Perfect small town bbq join, just in a big town!
Bbq is great, and believe it or not, the young folks working there are very polite and professional! I only found them 4 or 5 weeks ago but have been back at least once per week since! (I work here, dont live here is why I have to eat out a lot).

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I have been wanting to go there for a year now and every time I drove by it was closed. Today it was finally opened so I was super excited. Walked up to the door and felt locked so I started to leave and kid comes out and says they were open just the door sticks. So we go in to look around and place was being run by like 3 or 4 high school kids. They were goofing around and not paying attention to our order. My boyfriend wanted the beef platter. Was told they didn’t have any. So he ordered the ham platter and I got the pork platter and we ordered loaded fries to share. Well….. what we got was the most nasty food I have EVER been served in my life. The tater tot things were still frozen, the sour cream and Cole slaw were spoiled, the ham was water logged and my pork looked and tasted like it was microwaved and still cold. Took us like 3 minutes to get the attention of the kids working there because they were laughing and screaming in the back. Finally we demanded our money back and they were very rude about it. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER be back. And I won’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

ALWAYS been great food and service here. The baked potatoes are a twice a week thing for our family and their “white sauce” rivals anyone’s in the business. We will always shop and eat local, but especially when they do a great job! Thank you

I’m confused…I apologize to the owner, but this review is not a good one. Your staff were polite, but this establishment is confusing.
I entered Bob’s BBQ, and started to order. “I’ll take a beef platter. Is it brisket?”
Worker, confused, kindly replied “No, it’s not it’s just beef. Sorry I don’t know much it’s just here when we get here.”
Confused “…is it smoked?”
Worker checks with cook “no, it’s just beef”
…”Ok, I’ll take the pork then. Is it pulled pork?”
Worker checks with cook again “yes it’s pulled pork.”
I ask: “Is it smoked?”
Worker: “Yes, the pork is smoked.”
Worker brought me my food. I got pulled pork, but as an amateur meat smoker I know this was crock pot pulled pork. No smoke lines, no bark, wet, with crock pot taste. The pork was…ok. It wasn’t what I ordered, and it wasn’t BBQ. Is this not a BBQ place?

The potato salad was very good, the portions were very small for the price. The medium potato salad was only enough for one person. I guess the small would be the size of a salad dressing container. The Cole slaw was terrible, all I could taste was pepper and lettuce. We got the ribs and though they were good sized, they had no flavor, very bland and several pieces were burnt. This was a take away order. The ribs were also very dry. I was really hoping for a good BBQ place near us. The BBQ place next to Food Lion has great ribs but the guys attitude there sucks. Just can’t win with BBQ ribs around here.
