Great hometown Cafe. I had chicken fried steak. Fresh cut flowers on every table. Servers run the floor. Frequent local customers.
I would do something about the coffee…it’s terrible. 🙁

Food was tasty and delicious. Ordered bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. Never expected to get 5 slices of bacon at such an amazing price. We all enjoyed our meals, and the staff was very attentive. Coffee refreshed constantly.

Can’t make pancakes here, watery and weak syrup. The biscuits and gravy were great texture wise but lacked any flavor. On top of that, it’s rather pricey. Would not come here or recommending eating here.

This is a great little spot for Sunday breakfast. The food is delicious and the portions are big enough for a healthy appetite. I have had breakfast at the Roasted Cafe the past two Sunday mornings and enjoyed the food and the service.

We stopped in to eat on our way through from Arkansas, people were great, eggs and hash browns were wonderful, but the steak was very sub par. No seasoning, very bland and under cooked. All in all, a good experience, needs to do something to make the steak more palletable.

We stopped by Roasted Cafe at 11:30 AM for lunch, only to find out they only serve breakfast until noon. That was a bit disappointing, as we were wanting lunch. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the big breakfast. The breakfast burrito was huge and good overall, though we didn’t care for the sauce that covered it. On the bright side, the bacon with the big breakfast was plentiful and excellent—definitely the highlight of the meal.
Unfortunately, the biscuit from the big breakfast left much to be desired, and the hash browns came in a very small portion, which felt underwhelming. For a small-town cafe, the prices seemed higher than expected.
On a positive note, the service was very friendly, which made the experience more pleasant despite the other shortcomings. While there were some enjoyable elements, we were left feeling that the cafe didn’t quite live up to its potential.

My husband and I ate at the Roaster Cafe about two months ago. We are back visiting one of our kids and liked this place before, so we tried it again. We were not disappointed. We really like the restaurant. We had blueberry pancakes, bacon, hashbrowns, ham, eggs. It was very good.
Jinny was very nice and friendly.
The restaurant was very clean and has a great historic atmosphere.
We will eat here again before we leave Ottawa, KS.
Thank you for a great visit, great food and a touch of history.

What a wonderful and busy dinner. They serve comfort goods like Biscuits and Gravy, with or with out sides. Wonderful hashbrowns, eggs, pancakes. We only ate breakfast here but I believe the serve lunch. It’s an old building, definitely not fancy but it’s what you expect is a small town. The service was great, friendly They could tell we were not local, and made us feel welcomes.

Recommended! Holly, my server, was amazing! I had the all meat omelet with crisp hash browns, rye toast, and a piece of French toast with coffee. Everything was cooked to my specifications, and very tasty. The staff were perfectly attentive and provided an adequate amount of sassyness back at me. I will be back if in the area again.
