Great restaurant! Felt right at home having an early solo dinner here. The staff was very warm & hospitable. Nice ambience. The food was superb– started with a complimentary shot of warm tomato soup (very yummy) with a bowl of addictive fried cracker things. I ordered the Tokree Ki Chaat & it was so delicious, I will be dreaming of this dish. Dal Tadka was flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. Highly recommend!!

I love eating at Veda. The goat curry is my favorite, especially with garlic naan. I come here with my family all the time and the service is great. The staff remembers us and treats us like family. The music and atmosphere is really nice. Perfect for an intimate date night.

I did Diwali catering from Veda. Raj is amazing!! It’s a no brainer for me as to where the order food from. He gets it all done! His staff is very kind and gracious. Loved every dish and my guests .. yes 50 guests loved the food! I would not think of catering it from anywhere else. The staff made sure they set it up for us and left the big warmer buckets for us to take the main course out later. Cannot thank you enough Raj! Veda is by far the best and their Asparagus kofta is to die for❤️ thanks again!!

Why travel to India for very authentic and powerfully flavorful Indian food when it is here in your town or neighboring community. My wife and I LOVE Indian food and are soooo fortunate to have Indian Cuisine in Tenafly NJ where we live.
As much as we love, crave and savor the tastes of India, what sits front and center are two very important aspects of ANY RESTAURANT and that is Hospitality and Consistency. We have been dining at Veda since it opened its doors and whether we come on a frenetic Saturday night or a quiet Monday night, we are greeted as if we were dignitaries. The food preparation, taste and portion size is always consistent. The menu selections are from both Southern and Northern regions and are as different as night and day. Btw Veda is a BYO wine policy restaurant so bring a great bottle red or white your choice of course. I am a red wine lover but there are dishes that scream dry riesling. Either way great wine will further compliment the enjoyment you are in store for.
The meal starts off with a complimentary shot glass of warm cauliflower soup. Its creamy viscosity and slightly spicy taste warms and comforts the tongue. The crispy cauliflower coated with a beautiful orange colored ginger and garlic glaze perfectly matched its crunchy bite and lingering flavor.
The Tandoori Duck was outstanding as well delivered on a plate that resembled creative art. But the taste with the two sauces and pineapple chutney was fabulous. My wife loves the chicken Tikka Masala. A tried and true dish but remember not every representation is wonderful. At Veda the taste is consistent and the sauce so fiery flavorful gets mopped up completely with the ethereal Garlic Naan bread.
I love rice pudding, and no matter how stuffed I am after the first 2 courses I have to order their version of it. The fruits mixed in and the creaminess of the rice creates a sweet complex flavor to put out any “fire” in your mouth as well as closing out a poetic dinner on a sweet note.

Best meal I’ve had in ages!! Every mouthful was robust with spices! The service was attentive, fast and courteous! I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat!

When I went in the restaurant, I was very welcomed. Service was given very nicely. Food was super delicious. For appetizer, I had Tokree ki Chaat & Shrimp balchao yummy. The Basil Pesto Lamb Chops were nicely tender and tasty n delicious. Goat curry was wonderful. All the dishes were served with great presentation. Our waitress, Vipul, was great and attending, throughout the dinner I was asked if I was doing great and how I liked the food, thanks for giving us good service. Finally we topped it off with dessert which was recommended by Vipul, Malai Ki Kheer, damn freaking delicious, never tasted this type of dessert. In sum, great restaurant, nice service and I will definitely come back with my friends and family and for other occasions as well.
