For the price, I think this will be a regular spot for me and the fam. Paid $24 for the croissant sandwich and coffee.
The outside tables are nice touch, definitely small bistro style size, and they have umbrellas for shade. You could fit strollers around them as needed.
Downsides – There is no changing table in the bathroom, and I didn’t see any high chairs. You might be able to use the ledge in the bathroom if you have a tiny baby.
Vibe – The inside is a little sterile feeling in terms of decor and ambiance.
Seating – There is only one larger table inside that could seat 4. All the other ones are for 2 people only.
The food came up quickly and was delicious! We liked it so much, we decided to order some Empanadas to go. We love cooking at home & don’t eat out much, however we’ll definitely be back.
We also liked that they support local artists and have several nice works on their walls, availble for sale.
We ordered croissant sandwich came with bacon avocado egg and cheese , latte , strawberry smoothie , bagel and two baked goods . Everything was delicious, welcoming & kind customer service , very clean , and have outside seating which was great if you come with furr babies . We will be back next time we are in Lafayette !
This airy and inviting cafe is the perfect stop for a bite while shopping, or even sit down and get some work done at the tables (WiFi and outlets available). The atmosphere is perfect between the amiable staff and bright aesthetic. Of special note: the owner, Abe, is incredibly kind and gets to know practically anyone who comes through the door. Loads of places love to say they want you to feel like you’re “at home,” but Abe and his team actually walk the talk. Even during the booming Food & Wine Festival in September, while churning out orders, beaming smiles are exchanged and conversations abound.
They offer a beautifully crafted menu that is impressively tasteful and versatile, yet laid back. Every single item is *outstanding*—you’ll struggle to find a better bite for breakfast/lunch, especially for the price. Seriously, I’ve had $25 sandwiches from pretentious cafes that pale in comparison. From house-made cold brew and aguas frescas, to authentic Argentine empanadas and classical European cafe items, to specials featuring dishes from Abe’s hometown or anything else he thinks up… everything is perfectly executed. Flavors are balanced, ingredients are noticeably fresh, and portions are plentiful.
I promise you this will quickly become a go-to spot at least a couple times a week.
We ordered the chicken empanada, and WOW — 10/10. Perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. You can tell a lot of care goes into their food. Everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious — we’ll definitely be back to try more!
Highly recommend checking them out if you see them at an event or around town. Great food, great people!
