We had a double date during devour at Beholder. The art display was creative and cool. The service from the time we entered was brilliant. The menu was well crafted. The chicken kebabs were tasty. The drinks were creative and good to look at!
Definitely will return another day.

My wife and I had dinner at Beholder last night and went with the tasting menu, sitting at the chef’s counter. That experience alone was worth it—the energy in the kitchen, seeing the team work, and being able to interact directly with the chefs made the night memorable. They were engaging, open to conversation, and even let us try a few samples of items not included in the tasting menu, which was a great touch.

The wine pairing was enjoyable, though I would have loved to hear a bit more about each pour—where it came from and why it was chosen for that specific course. We’ve had a similar experience at Potong and appreciated that extra context. The service overall was good but not exceptional; our waiter was polite but could have been a little more attentive given the format and price point.

As for the food: the oysters were fine, but the tomato granita didn’t add much flavor and couldn’t compete with places like Commission Row or Geraldine’s. The salads were fresh and nicely plated, but not particularly memorable. The standout by far was the Wagyu coulette steak—cooked perfectly, rich, and full of flavor with every bite. It’s one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time.

We both finished with the brown butter salted caramel praline ice cream, which was phenomenal—sweet, salty, and buttery in all the right ways.

Overall, Beholder delivers an excellent dining experience, especially if you sit at the chef’s counter and enjoy the craft of cooking up close. A few tweaks in service and a touch more flavor in the early courses would have made it a perfect five-star night.

This place is cute and has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food and service! we tried the roasted chicken with pistachios, and honestly, it wasn’t anything special. The mussels were also very average and finally, the pork was good but nothing excellent. I think it’s overrated!! the prices are very high for the food they serve.

The only things we liked were the French fries, which were very good (the only redeeming feature of the food), and a mezcal drink.

The service was very slow, and our waitress was not nice, at times, I even thought she was annoyed. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant

Was very disappointed. Our food was very average and was highly overpriced. We thought we would give this a chance but $30 for a average hamburger was slightly ridiculous. I wish I could give a better rating but the food was sub par, especially for the price point. I also was disappointed in the menu when we visited. Many of the items I had seen while researching were not available.

Food wonderful!
Christina our server was great.
Hostess not friendly!
Wine list needs more reasonable priced red wines!
Cabbage salad, potato salad, pork belly and burgers, delicious!
Ice cream tasty, need bigger size, not even sure it was 1/4 cup for $9!!
I think the owner or chef should be on site!!

Took over 45 min just to get a drink. We did the tasting menu and the oysters were so doctored up with mignonette sauce you couldn’t actually taste the oysters themselves. Steak was great but the salmon was pretty mid. Ice cream was really good! Would give a better rating if service was better

We had dinner here last week and the service and drinks were fantastic. We tried the oysters, and potato skins for apps, then the salmon and steak entrees. The food was good, though not quite at the level of excellence I was expecting. The peppermint ice cream, however, was delicious. I’d give it another try and would recommend it as a great spot for a drink and a bite, though maybe not for a full meal.

As an international traveler that seeks out exceptional food experiences, I can tell you this is a place worth your attention in Indianapolis.
Will, our server, was both knowledgeable and engaging. He was resourceful to ensure that our meal was gluten free. We enjoyed the tasting menu with the wine paring. If you have an elevated palate and enjoy fantastic ambiance, I’d encourage you to make a reservation!

Amazing food, great service. We will be back! We did the tasting menu and enjoyed every course. Both the ceaser salad and endive salad were delicious, but the ceaser might have been the best we’ve ever had. The Waygu and potatoes were tasty, but the King Salmon and Bok choy stole the show. Perfectly cooked and buttery, all around fantastic. The cranberry orange sorbet had a nice salty crunch on top.

We decided to add the apple crumble skillet on top of our already perfect meal, and this was the highlight of the night. The Gouda and the whipped sour cream had me drooling and still reminiscing about the meal the next day.
