We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant.

When we arrived, no one greeted us at the entrance. The host seemed unhappy to serve us, there was no smile and no enthusiasm, and no effort to recommend anything from the menu.

The menu lists a fish dish, but when we asked about it, we were told they don’t serve fish because it’s Georgian cuisine. That was confusing and misleading.

I ordered a Georgian salad, but it was not Georgian at all. It lacked the fresh greens that are essential: no dill, parsley, cilantro, or green onions. Instead, it was made with old lettuce and soggy cucumbers and tomatoes.

The quill dish was extremely salty and came with no side dish. We also ordered chicken kebabs, but they were just overcooked pieces of chicken with no flavor.

The khinkali was acceptable, but the meat did not taste fresh.

Overall, we were very disappointed with both the food and the service. It was our second time here and the same experience. We will not be coming back.

Absolutely delicious and the owners are amazing. I had visited Georgia a few months prior to my visit here and was craving the food. This place hits. I highly recommend the shkmeruli and khachapuri.

An incredible restaurant of Georgian cuisine! Excellent service, we were very pleased with both the service and the atmosphere.

Everything was delicious, from the drinks to the desserts. We were recommended a delicious wine, and the dogwood compote was very tasty. The Tolma was very aromatic, with the right amount of spices, with a delicious sauce. Acharuli Khachapuri was juicy, with delicious stringy cheese, moderately salty, crispy dough, very tasty! Everyone also really liked the Mtsvadi Georgian Kabab, everything was excellent both in terms of spices and portions. Napoleon was also good, prepared according to a classic recipe. The dough is light and crispy, and one portion is enough for at least two people.

I highly recommend this place, everything is great!

Lovely Georgian appetizers, outside dining, compulsory 20% service charge for all dine-in orders, but the server lacked any hospitality.

We ordered Georgian entrees – Khachapuri and Ojakhuri with mushrooms and they both tasted great. The Khachapuri is very heavy, the bread is filled with cheese, it tasted great but we skipped dinner though we had this meal around 4:30 PM.

Absolutely delicious Georgian food, fantastic wine, chill ambience, and lovely service. Highly recommend this place! We had the kupati, lamb shank, and, of course, the acharuli khachapuri (no egg), all of which we happily recommend, especially that cheese bread. The mukuzani wine paired quite well with the food. We’ll certainly stop by if we’re ever in San Carlos again!

My review comes as an Asian person who knows nothing of Georgian food.

The Lobio was amazing! I’d never had anything like it in my life. Definitely worth trying if you’re curious. I will be returning with friends

Everything we ordered was delicious! But I do think they are a little pricy.
Lamb kebab was done well, flavorful and tender.
Beef dumplings were huge! But one of them had broke and the juice inside had leak out.
The cheese bread was amazing. The bread was soft and cheese was salty and savory.

Excellent Georgian food, great hospitality and service! Came across this place while we were in the area and decided to try it out. Everything we ordered was amazing in taste, generous portions and good for sharing. We ordered the cold appetizer combo (all appetizers, especially the pkhali, were yummy), the khachapuri, and the grilled Branzino. We also ordered a white Georgian wine which was great to taste, and went very well with the fish. Also one of the better white wines I’ve had recently. Will definitely revisit when in town again.

It is such a treat to have authentic Georgian cousin. Lovely food. Amazing atmosphere and if you lucky and owner is not busy he might tell you about Georgia. Food is fresh. Veggies and fruits fresh from the farmer’s market. I had the best Napoleon. Looking forward for visiting again. Will highly recommend Georgian salad, Napoleon pastry, chicken kebab, coffee, poached pear in red wine reduction was just out of this world delicious.

This was our first time trying Georgian food, so my girlfriend and I went in cold, and asked for some help along the way. Thankfully the service is very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the spinach pate appetizer, with the impressive corn bread, the assorted pickles, the eggplant stew (served cold at the suggestion of the server), and the amazing dumplings. Everything was delicious and very flavorful! We paired the meal with two of the dry red Georgian wines. I definitely want to come back to try the cheese bread and some of that other hot plates.
