Traveling down I95 late around 9:30pm and after a look into the area I was fortunate to find Peking Tokyo open late and boasting an impressive menu selection. I was greeted by welcoming staff and an inviting atmosphere when I arrived. The sushi bar was just closing up but the staff assured me they would still be happy to accommodate my order. I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe 18 which came with soup & salad, 2 orders or the Ōtoro sashimi and a bottle of lychee sake. The staff was also kind enough to bring me one of their Seafood Special hand rolls to try which was made of a tasty tempura style seafood mix. Wonderful staffing and atmosphere aside the sashimi was fresh and of good texture, I was not blown away by the quality of the Toro or the freshness of the ginger for a restaurant offering such a of the selection of specialty sushi items. Overall I was left feeling pleased, well fed and happy with the experience I had at Peking Tokyo. Great staff 7.1/10, well worth another visit during more conventional dinning hours to give the menu a better sampling.

I’d usually give them five stars but not today.
The good: miso soup=delicious. Crab Rangoon= delicious. Hamachi Kama= DELICIOUS !!!!
The bad: sushi appetizer, fish was bland, one piece tough and chewy. Dragon and Phoenix, general tso’s chicken and shrimp were good but the veggies were bland. Thai fried pineapple fried rice. There was no hint of pineapple at all. The rice was dry and rather bland. The shrimp were also bland and dried out. Plus there was an upcharge for the shrimp.

Excellent miso soup, as well as, sushi and sashimi. Always consistently one of the best options for Asian cuisine in eastern Connecticut.

Such a nice restaurant! Service was great! Food was delicious! We ordered 1 Egg Roll and 1 Spring Roll. We also shared the Lover’s Nest with Fried Rice. And ended with a Fried Banana dessert. All amazing!! Highly recommend!

Food was very good, fish was fresh. The hand rolls were incredible. We also got the Japanese Wagyu beef and being able to cook it on your own stone was incredible. Delicious! Service was incredible as well. The host was very kind, and our waiter and waitress were very accommodating.

Hands down best sushi I have ever had. Kenny was amazing. Incredible chef. Kind and friendly. A book of knowledge when it comes to fish. Everything on the menu was so fresh, clean, flavorful. Presentation was sublime. I can say enough good things about this place. The best sushi I’ve ever had.

Came in for lunch on Sunday, the place was not busy at all. I got a house special noodles, husband got coconut curry, we loved both dishes! Shared a dessert afterwards though we barely had any space in our stomach for it but it still was soo good! Quality/quantity of the place is amazing, will definitely be back again when in the area!

We had nine in our party and I was impressed as to how quickly our waitress was at taking care of our requests.
We celebrated a birthday and the birthday girl received a special dessert and a beautiful gift of dinnerware.
I was just somewhat disappointed in the meal I ordered. The Pineapple Fried Rice was delicious but the ‘jumbo’ shrimp on top may have been jumbo before they were cooked, but they were much smaller and overcooked when received.

The food is delicious, we go every Friday for takeout but every single time it is such a cluster in there, there is NO room to check out, the crowd is all jammed in like sardines and last week we waited 20 minutes just to pick up our appetizer while it was sitting there ready the whole time. There is no organization at all when it comes to takeout orders. The Rangoons are so good though, we rough it every Friday.

This will probably be our last time here. We walked in and were sat. After 5 min waitress came and asked us if she could get us drinks. She took a while to bring them back. Then she finally came back and we ordered a kim roll for app, and split a pupu platter and rice. No word of a lie, we waited an hour, in the mean time I watched people sit after us and get served and eat. Our waitress was very attentive to both tables on the side of us. There was an older couple on the side of us everybody was fawning over. No big deal, but other tables shouldnt be ignored in the mean time. Not once did she apologize for the food being late, or say, you guys have been waiting a while, let me check on it. When the food finally was ready she came over with the platter and rice. Then said oh let me get your roll, she walked away before I could even tell her to forget it. She brought it back and I asked my son do you still want it? Its after the fact. He said he would eat it. She asked if we wanted anything else. I said another soda please, she said its not free refill, is that ok? I said sure. You would think, our food taking an hour and forgetting our app, she would offer at least a refill on my soda. Nope. The rice was cold. We heated up the stuff in the pupu platter over the little fire like hobos, because it was cold. The food was mid at best. Then for 1 roll, a platter, a rice, and 3 soda, it came to 70 dollars. Never again.
