Prime Rib night special and it was delicious. It’s priced to include salad, sides and dessert. A great price for all the food you receive. I requested the end piece which was so plentiful that I took more than half of it home to enjoy again. My husband chose an inside piece and it was prepared exactly as requested. The Ceasar Salads were yummy and the sides offered very tasty. We love the olive bread and melted garlic butter that comes out before the salad and meal. It’s simply the most delicious I have ever tasted. The dessert was a pumpkin cheese cake bar that was so good. Sorry we forgot to take a picture.
I was full from dinner so they packed mine to go but my husband enjoyed his slice. The restaurant had a selection of featured wines by the glass that were priced well. The restaurant also featured a musician who played beautifully with his electric guitar. What a wonderful evening. We have been here for breakfast and dinner and it never disappoints. We highly recommend this wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Our wine arrived unopened, the steak was overcooked, the potatoes were undercooked to the point of being too hard to eat. Two of our 3 sides came. The hot parts of our meal were cold and the cold parts had warmed up.
The waitress was trying holding it together well but was clearly trying to manage a sinking ship coming out of the kitchen.
All that for a $400 bill… this place cannot handle 25% capacity, I have no idea how they could possibly handle a packed night.
We set a timer for 20 minutes and agreed that if we hit over 2 hours without food since walking in, we would simply pay for our wine and go anywhere else.
To our waitress- im sorry everyone else in the restaurant seemed to blame you when it is extremely apparent the kitchen is in desperate need of communication improvement or a retraining at CIA. Shameful.
To start, their wine selection is very impressive. We started with an appetizer and had Nonna’s meatballs which were so light and delicious and had true authentic Italian flavor. My husband had the 10 oz. filet with a burgundy mushroom sauce – let me just say that his steak was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth and the sauce was out of this world. It honestly was better than Ruth Chris, NY Prime and 21 Main. I was blown away because I love all of those places so much and am really picky when it comes to quality and this steak was perfection. I had the Sea Bass which came with broccolini served over a grit cake in a lemon caper sauce. It was pure heaven! The fish was so fresh and also melted in your mouth like butter. I raved about it all night long. We then ended the night with a homemade blueberry cheesecake which was delicious and a perfect ending to a sensational meal!
We couldn’t have been happier. I had really high expectations going into dinner and last night’s birthday dinner exceeded all of my expectations 10 fold. The manager, staff, atmosphere and food made it such a special evening and I can’t wait to go back soon and share the experience with my family, friends and colleagues.
Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. We ordered breakfast items, and the quality was worse than a college cafeteria. For example, scrambled eggs were dry and clearly made from liquid eggs out of a carton rather than fresh eggs. The biscuit gravy tasted store-bought, pre-made, and reheated—likely microwaved.
This place has potential, but the kitchen needs a much better cook or chef. Good service and a nice space can’t make up for poor food quality.
We waited so long for our appetizer salad that the groom even asked to speed things up and it still took 45 minutes after appetizers for only 4 out of 8 entrees, next 3 entrees took another 30 minutes and then waited extremely long for the last entree. By the time we got the FISH AND CHIPS, the first dishes that came out were completely eaten, and the second group waited to eat till the last dish came and their meals were completely cold when it arrived. We were so sick of waiting, we asked for the dessert to go. We were there from 6:45 – 9:00pm. Again, the waitress did not refill our drinks the entire time.
The restaurant ‘canceled’ our reservation on Open Table, the morning after, to strike our account and not allowing us to leave a review because they knew how horrible they treated us on my sister’s wedding day.
