I got the white pizza with Italian sausage on it. It was really good just a little pricey for a smaller sized pizza. The only thing I was not crazy about was the ricotta cheese had spices and seasonings in it. Service was quick, but there were no chairs for while you waited for your pizza. I wish you had some pictures on your website to make it easier for us to place orders to go.

I had such high hopes for this place! It is in an area that can definitely use a good takeout option!
My family and I ordered two subs (New Jersey and Chopped Italian), two pizzas, fried ravioli, and fried Mac and cheese bites.
The appetizers were good. No complaints there. The pizza was decent, although small for what was supposed to be a large pizza.
The subs were extremely disappointing. The chopped Italian was not chopped, it was pulverized. The “spread” was spread on so thin, it looked like a condiment instead of sub filling. I was almost inedible. The New Jersey had one piece each of cheese and meat on it. The filling to bread ratio was ridiculous. I definitely felt like the subs were made as an afterthought. The same care is not taken when making the subs as is taken when making the pizza.
I am really hoping that honest reviews, trial and error, and time will make this a wonderful place for Vanceboro to enjoy!

Craven Pizza has a very welcoming and relaxed environment. The smells and Air Conditioning are great and the wait time wasn’t long. I recommend the Stromboli & their pizzas.

I really wanted to love this place. I had high hopes for a new restaurant in the area. Sadly, those hopes were quickly dashed.

The pizza was limp and soggy, completely lacking the crisp bite you expect from a decent slice. The garlic knots? Burnt and hard as rocks. Honestly, I’d rather have Hunt Brothers at this point. Even the garlic bread, which was the best part of the meal, was absolutely drenched in oil more greasy than flavorful.

To make matters worse, the marinara sauce was practically water. It had no seasoning, no depth, no richness just a bland, thin red liquid that did nothing to save the rest of the meal.

I was genuinely excited for a new dining option nearby, but it looks like I’ll still be making the trip to New Bern when I want food worth eating.

Suffice it to say, I’m thoroughly disappointed.
