I was the first one on the line ordering, and the last one leaving with the order. I did not order that much. About 7 plate. Do not give me any sauces that contain a sucks. He leaked everywhere in thebag. The worst thing is they clearly see that there’s two people ordering food and they only gave us one fork. How do you expect us eating a food with my hand?

The special lunch offered is different from the picture and the actual product. It is not very fresh. The service is not very good. The plates were not changed during the meal (Picture 2) and the food was very slow to come out. Only the special lunch came out very quickly. It makes people suspect that it is pre-made. In short, the experience is not good. I will not come again.

I ordered the ginger scallion lobster and it was $28 per lb. It was very good. They ran out of corona beer. I took clients there and they all
Loved the food. The dim sum was very good. Har gow was yummy and the seafood fried rice and scallop dumplings and shu mai was so good. I have to say the service was a bit tough. It took forever for me to pay, it felt like I was being ignored. I was just surprised because there were plenty of workers. Overall a good experience.

Out of other dim sum places I have tried in Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, Monterey Parks, Hollywood and Gardena, this place is so far my most favorite. Less waiting time, attentive servers who speak fluent English, food comes out fast and just in good quality. Though a little pricy, their menu has more interesting items than other restaurants.

Update: sadly when I was checking my bill I noticed they charged me for tea when I told them I didn’t want tea. Then when I asked them to correct it they said they charge the fee no matter whether you use it or not and for setting out the sauces. I did not even get any extra sauces that didn’t already come with the meal. Sorry this is unacceptable for charging me for something that was not provided.

One liner: slightly above average dim sum that has minimal wait time to be seated

Wait: 50-75% full on a weekday. Weekend not so sure.

Parking: self, plenty

Ambiance: typical Chinese restaurant, a little nicer than most

Service: professional and attentive. They kept changing our plates constantly which is rare at other dim sum places.

Food: Cantonese style food with focus on dim sum

Sui mai & har gow- good size but not as tasty as lunasia and chef Tony in San Gabriel valley area. Maybe on par with new capital in Rowland heights

I agree with another reviewer that their pastries are pretty good. The egg tart was excellent.

Bathroom: decent. Carpet leading to bathrooms should be changed to match the main dining area

Price: slightly more expensive than new capital, but much more affordable than lunasia and chef Tony.

Unlike many of the dim sum restaurants I’m accustomed to, this one doesn’t have the carts going around. The menu has everything you want to eat and it comes with description & pictures for everything.

So, like many of my lunches with my boyfriend’s family, his Mom always puts us in good hands by ordering nearly one of everything. The only items I was really looking forward to eat were the steamed shrimp in rice rolls, chicken feet and Chinese broccoli. Those are typically my staples every time I eat dim sum. You just gotta have them!

On the table: 2 orders of steamed shrimp in rice rolls, chicken feet, Peking duck, duck lettuce wraps, braised spare ribs, 2 orders of shumai, crispy taro dumpling, Chinese broccoli, 2 orders of hargow and 3 orders of mango pudding.

I was pleasantly surprised by how the duck was prepared. They presented all the crackling skin to be wrapped in a bao with scallions and hoisin sauce, and then the rest of the meat was made into a stir fry for lettuce wraps. A new experience for me and it was really good.

The only downfall of this restaurant was lack of service. We asked for water three times and tea wasn’t promptly refilled either. It was really hard to flag someone down to so his mom basically yelled at them to get their attention. Food overall was average and nothing spectacular stood out besides the duck. If I had my choice, I’d rather go to Seafood Village for dim sum. At least the wait is worth it!

This place is mainly focused on Dim Sum. Have been to this restaurant irregularly since 2017, with the last one being june 2024.

Food Quality definitely went down hill and plummeted to lowest level. Last time I had during COVID years was much better. The last visit’s experience was meh. The har gao is a 4 out of 5 – flavor in shrimp is there but the exterior is over steamed. Pork bun (oven) was good at 5 out of 5. Tripe and Shiu Mai at 3. Lor mai gai (lotus leaf wrapped chicken rice) was the worst clocking a 2 out of 5 – it tasted like the ones you microwave from the frozen packet.

Atmosphere and service is still good during busy lunch hour.

May give this place another shot in the winter to see any improvements, but last visit was definitely disappointing.

Okay dim sum if you don’t want to wait. Went on Sunday around 11am and got a seat right away for a table of 6.

We had to wait over 30min to get our credit card back cause they forgot about us. Would have given 3 stars if not for that.

Food quality is middle of the road. I think their pastry dishes are probably the best so treat yourself to a nice dessert.

Dishes to avoid:
-XLB (pork soup dumplings) are no bueno. Comes in a mini egg tart tin, but has barely any soup and no flavour
-Rice roll Chinese donut (hard dry donut, really sad to look at)

Good dim sum selection. Nice clean space after the renovation. They sat us by the wall and service was ok, not great. Once they brought your food You had to flag people down when you needed something. Overall it was decent service for a Chinese restaurant. Would have given more stars for service if the lady at the end wasn’t rude when returning our payment. Apparently my mom who did not have her reading glasses and read the number on the bill wrong and was $3.00 short on the tip. They lady instead of giving a reason or an apology or any kind of soft people skills just days “NOT ENOUGH” in Chinese in a loud low class manner. Took us a bit to figure out on our own what that not enough meant. My mom felt bad she read the bill wrong but seriously better people skills and better service will def bring more customers. Because everything else was good.

I’ve been here multiple times and every time it was amazing. It seems that during lunch hour most people get dim sum but I just gotta say the entrees are also really good – the lobster e-mein and bbq dishes are my favorite.
