We visited 1818 Grill tonight and were blown away by the experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and genuinely family-friendly—perfect for a relaxed night out.
The food? Outstanding. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Everything we tried tasted fresh and homemade with care. Even my daughter gave it the ultimate seal of approval—calling it “yummy!”
You can tell this place puts heart into what they do. Great food, wonderful service, and a cozy vibe that makes you want to come back. We’re so glad we found this spot—you will not be disappointed!

Had a very pleasant dinner in this small, comfortable and welcoming neighborhood restaurant. It was a pleasure meeting the owner, Tommy, and the rest of the small staff was equally as helpful and gracious. Food was yummy and filling. Has a nice selection of wines and beers. Key Lime Pie was THE BEST! Will be back.

Stopped in for a quick drink on a quiet Monday night and ended up getting an order to go. Great little spot with a nice vibe. Service was top notch and our burger and shrimp tacos were delicious! They even added a piece of key lime pie to our order – also very tasty. Can’t wait to return.

Quaint little place on Osprey Avenue. The small interior leads to a very intimate atmosphere with a side bar available if you want to just stop in for a few drinks. Outstanding service with quick attention paid by the server. The burger was very good and cooked well, along with generous pieces of bacon. Seasoning on the fries was delicious, as well. A definite hidden hole-the-wall gem that should not be missed.

Tommy the owner was working behind the bar and waiting all of the tables inside. We ordered lunch and it came out quickly and was delicious. My partner had the chicken sandwich and I had the Caesar wrap special. It was so good that my wife and I went back tonight for dinner. She said it was the best Cuban she’s had in Sarasota. I had the meatloaf and brussels sprouts were both excellent. Congrats to Tommy and team for having such a great continuation of a beloved spot.

A casual place in the heart of Southside Village. Food is always great and Tommy (owner) makes you feel right at home. For a laid back local place it has a great wine list!! We go at least once a week.

Joined friends early on A Friday night in May so not busy. Enjoyed my hummus plate appetizer and wedge salad. Had plenty of time to sit and talk -not rushed.

Really love The 1818 Grill!! We frequented Knicks Tavern for a very long time and were so sad when they closed. Luckily, 1818 Grill has not only replaced Knicks Taverns physical location but has far surpassed expectations and become our new favorite go to spot. Tommy the owner really cares and it shows. Everything we’ve tried is just a little better, standards with a thoughtful, delicious twist. Such a great Caesar salad, grouper Ruben, burgers and oh my the key lime pie. I think it’s Sarasota’s best key lime pie.
