When we walked in we greeted with- just find a table and seat yourself.
Menus, tortillas chips, and salsa were dropped off. Our waiter returned for our order. We decided on the De Leon appetizer platter. Thinking we would get to taste a little bit of what they have to offer. Upon reflection, this was way too much food for 2 people, it was almost entirely fried, and our waiter was not attentive. Tried multiple times to get his attention. Today’s meal left me unimpressed,

Most important – the food was spectacular! We had birria tacos (a family favorite) and they’re the best I’ve ever eaten, hands down. We also enjoyed shredded beef crispy tacos and al pastor street tacos. Even the chips and salsa were superior – excellent flavor that wasn’t too hot, and the chips were salty and crisp. Not your traditional Mexican decor (felt sports bar-ish to me), but it didn’t detract from the experience a bit, and I seldom choose an eatery for its decor. Give me YAY! food in a meh environment any time!

We enjoyed going to this place several times so when our family was visiting and wanted to grab some drinks, we couldn’t think of a better place to go. Unfortunately, the service was bad. We mentioned to the waiter that we came for some drinks. After first round he came with the check (we didn’t ask for it). We wanted to order more, so we ordered another margarita. Probably ten minutes later he came back with the check. But we were about to order more. We did order another one (their margaritas are really good) but at that point we felt really weird. Then he wanted to take away our nachos that were half way eaten only. We also had to find napkins as we didn’t get any.
Don’t get me wrong, if the place was packed, we would have understood why they were rushing us out, but the place was almost empty…

We have been here several times before, but tonight everything was very disappointing. Our server was extremely slow to take orders, our drinks took nearly 20 minutes to show up and were incorrect. I ordered the steak fajitas, but struggled to find more than a few tiny pieces of steak among the pile of bell peppers and onions. Drink refills and clearing the table was none existent. With so many other Mexican restaurant options around here, I don’t think we will be back.

The street tacos were not bad but very pricey for a small taco almost $5 for the Holy Taco with beef. This is a Mexican restaurant with no sauce that has any heat. Maybe they should just offer fresh Habanero peppers ️ for those that need heat on food.Really. The tortilla chips they bring you are over salted. The service was not the best for not a busy place, the waitress we had to calm over to order, then I needed to chase some napkins down as we were never given any. If they fix this it would make the eating experience better.

I challenge anyone to come up with better taco’s than De Leon’s. Such a good variety of tacos and each one is so delicious. Highly recommend, if you like tacos.
Apparently they have a full menu but have yet to get past the taco page. Highly recommended.

Fantastic. Great food and very authentic. Love the bakery too! The best Mexican food I’ve had in quite some time. Let me mention I lived 30 miles from the border of Mexico for 14 yrs. This is the best Mexican food in Spokane.

I think there was a tiny issue of the server forgetting that my To-Go order was ready, because it took a little longer than I expected, and then it was pretty cold when I got it. But that happens! It was a spicy pork belly taco, and even cold, it was yummy (and I liked the spiciness).

Always has the best food and staff is pretty great! This time around we actually had to wait to be seated and order taken (they weren’t busy), as we watched most of the staff just walk past us. Usually has the best service in town
