“Good afternoon,” I replied, asking if they had any ciders on tap. “We’ve got Mango Orange Passion by Legend,” she answered with a laugh. “It’s juicy!” Intrigued, I ordered one.The menu was filled with tempting options, but I decided to go with a recommendation from my waitress, Malia. She suggested the Korean fried chicken, and I couldn’t resist. The dish arrived with a side of KFC sauce (get it?), pickled daikon, sesame seeds, and scallions. The sauce was a flavorful blend of gochujang, ketchup, hot sauce, and strawberry jam, with a subtle ginger kick. The pickled daikon, with its vibrant color and sweet, tangy taste, was the perfect complement to the spicy chicken. I spent a leisurely afternoon at Mill Works Pub, savoring my Korean fried chicken and enjoying two refreshing Mango Orange Passion ciders. It was a delightful experience, filled with the sounds of lively conversations and the warm atmosphere of a local hangout. Malia was a friendly and knowledgeable server, offering recommendations for things to do in the Bend area. I left feeling like I had discovered a hidden gem and wishing I lived closer.
The waitress gave us a big smile when we arrived and told us to sit anywhere.
We sat at the bar. The bartender quickly brought us water and menus. He appeared to be extremely busy serving drinks for all the tables, answering phones, and serving the people at the bar, yet he gave us great attention, answered our questions and took our orders with grace and kindness!
Furthermore, the food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced!
They have GF options like the giant tray of nachos. Just a short walk from the Hilton Garden Inn of Bend in the Old Mill District.
Once filling your face and belly, there’s a great park to walk it off or tons of shopping.
The artichoke dip was amazing, and the prime open faced sandwich was really tasty. I should have requested more horseradish, and the onions were a little sweet. But it was all delicious!
The wait staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. The ambiance was subtle but really nice. Not overwhelming like some sports bars.
All in all I will definitely go back for tasty sandos, apps and cocktails. Perfect for a small group of 2-6 but can easily accommodate more.
Also, might be the most gluten conscious pub in bend.
