Yummy food Extremely impressed with the service and the friendly staff. It’s a wonderful Southern Indian restaurant that truly captures the authentic taste and aroma of southern cuisine. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The warm hospitality made the dining experience even more enjoyable — I’d definitely recommend it to anyone craving genuine Southern Indian food.

Visit to this place can never go wrong. It’s like a food temple for me. This is a comfort place for me. I have tried so many of their dishes and all have been just perfect! You go there once and you will go there every time.
I prefer this place over any exotic restaurant.
It’s a very simple restaurant with high quality food. Very decent prices and lovely atmosphere and amazing service.

NALAAS is a real gem if you’re craving authentic South Indian cuisine. The food is consistently excellent especially the dosa, idly, and filter coffee, which taste just like they do back in South India. The dishes are full of authentic flavor and offer great value for money. I highly recommend trying their Malabar curry with parotha, and the Mysore masala dosa, Gobi Manchurian – all packed with rich, delicious spices and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Service is always prompt and professional, which makes the dining experience even better. Whether you’re a fan of South Indian food or trying it for the first time, NALAAS is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

20 of us went for my bday ..Food was very nice .. portions were very big … think the staff were a little over worked for 20 of us but they did very well to get all the orders right ….

I am wordless to explain the service , food quality and taste of this restaurant…very lovely ladies service team managing the restaurant,very welcoming and very polite to the customers. This is my second visit, actually the taste and service bring me back here again.
Taste of the food was above my expectations and i do really appreciate the chef and team for serving tasty food in time,even if the restaurant is full. Highly recommended for proper Indian cuisine in Derby.
Parking limited infront of the restaurant,other parking options available near by and restaurant deal with only cash please keep that in mind.. after all really enjoyed ❤️

A Taste of Tamil Nadu
I’ve recently had the pleasure of dining at Nalaas twice, and I’m absolutely blown away. The food is incredibly authentic, and it felt like I was transported straight back to Tamil Nadu.
The four dishes I tried – kothu paratha, chettinadu chicken, paneer dosa, and ghee roast – were all absolutely top-notch. The flavors were vibrant, and the textures were perfect. The chutneys were the cherry on top, adding a delightful complexity to each dish.
On top of the amazing food, the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the toilets were also spotless.
If you’re looking for a truly authentic Tamil Nadu dining experience in a clean and comfortable setting, I highly recommend giving Nalaas a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Will get South Indian food, food is good. Parking is available for 4 to 5 cars but when we arrived, there is no parking, so parked at Abbey street paid parking (£2.5 for 2 hours). Service was also good. Overall rating is GOOD.
