This place has gone downhill for a while now, but today was rough. We came in to a large line at almost 3pm and only one person working on the line. The trash cans were overflowing and the tables were all dirty. This place may be sanitary, but from the perspective of the customer, it feels gross. Customers were stepping over trash on the floor. No music playing, super slow service that did not fully complete our orders, and customers looking for clean tables to eat at. I don’t know who needs to see or hear this, but help quickly, this is not okay. Food tasted fine, but prep stations were disgusting. I love Chipotle, but this was an awful experience.

I want to preface this reflection by saying my intention is not to be rude or disrespectful—just honest. There’s an observable difference between how workplaces function depending on the composition and mindset of their staff. Recently, I’ve noticed a clear decline in cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service at the Severna Park Chipotle located off Ritchie Highway near Giant, Jersey Mike’s, and MOD Pizza.

In the past, this location was consistently clean and well-managed. The counters were spotless, the dining area was tidy, and the employees—many of whom were Hispanic—worked with noticeable pride and efficiency. You could count on hearing polite greetings like “hello,” “please,” and “thank you.”

However, in recent visits, the quality of the restaurant has noticeably declined. Counters are sticky and covered in food debris, the trash bins overflow, and the tables are often left uncleaned. When I politely mentioned that the counters needed to be wiped down, I was met with blank stares, as if I were asking for something unreasonable.

It reminded me of a similar situation years ago during the Obama administration, when stricter immigration enforcement briefly reduced the number of migrant workers in certain industries. The immediate effect in many restaurants and service settings was a decline in quality and care. When those workers eventually returned, so did the higher standards.

Today, I see a similar pattern emerging again. The majority of workers at this particular Chipotle appear to be younger, American-born employees—many seemingly disinterested in the work or unaware of what quality service looks like. Pride in one’s workspace and in the customer experience seems to be missing. That’s not an issue of ethnicity—it’s an issue of work ethic, training, and accountability.

What’s most disappointing is that this is happening in Severna Park—a community that prides itself on quality and presentation. I would expect both the local management and the franchise owner to uphold those same standards. If they walked in today, I believe they’d be alarmed by the condition of the store.

Until there’s a noticeable improvement in cleanliness and professionalism, I’ll be taking my business to other locations such as Annapolis or Glen Burnie. I’m simply not willing to spend my hard-earned money in a place that no longer takes pride in its service or environment….. I’m a firm believer in supporting your local economy. It saddens me that some of the local business owners in Severna Park are more concerns about profits than providing superior customer service to the consumers. If you take care of your customer and community …we will take care of you!

I ordered catering from Chipotle for the first time ever – I was having a group of 30 people at my house (I ordered catering for 25). It turns out that the Severna Park location would be preparing the order, and let’s just say, this location and Chipotle catering will have my business from here on out. Every body at the party raved about the food. Everything from ordering to delivery (and getting notifications about the delivery) was seamless. Highly recommend!

The last two times I went I’ve been severely disappointed. The first time I had an issue I didn’t receive my honey vinegarette in my bag and when I went back in to ask they told me “no” and when I asked them to elaborate she told me they were out and weren’t making more then went back to laughing with her coworker. The second time I went back to this location today I ordered double carne asada and cheese and when I got home I noticed my bag was wet as the bowl leaked because they didn’t close the bowl properly and they barely gave me any portion size. I won’t be going back to this location any time soon

By far the worst run Chipotle I’ve ever come across. Consistently unkept and unorganized. Put in several meal orders and each one was missing something and were cold. One bowl had a whole block of cheese, not shredded, placed on top. Burrito was a mangled mess. Quality and concern for customers are out the window. We returned with our order to speak with someone and they shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn’t do anything. Unless this place gets new management and changes overall, I recommend avoiding.

4/5/2025 around 5:15 ordered a Burrito Bowl. Very disappointed because the chicken was burnt but they still served it. For the amount of money we pay now the least they can do is not burn the meat. All I have is a bunch of burnt chard pieces of meat. I will go back to not eating at Chipotle. I hadn’t been in over 3 years.

This Chipotle location in Severna Park,Maryland was horrible. The pick up time from my mobile order was for 6:40pm. Waited over 20 minutes when I got there. Very disorganized, long lines, music was way to loud couldn’t hear anything( music should play but not were you can’t hear anyone),order was messed up,lots of customers orders were messed up too.Door dash was mad and upset because the orders they were picking up weren’t ready when they should have. Our food was just thrown together the containers had food stuck on them it was grose. My bag broke. The app was having issues. Called the store multiple times and no one answered they just ignored the phone calls coming in. Called corporate and they are refunding me in 3-5 business days. Also found hair and other random food in our orders. We had brown rice and white rice together in our bowls when we just wanted brown rice. My friend is diabetic. There was tomato, corn, pinto bean, little chicken, brown rice and a lot of white rice in mine. In hers a piece of onion, little chicken, brown rice a lot of white rice, steak and hair in hers. WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN!!

This Chipoltle location was not on their game last night. They were having one issue after another was impacting the teams ability to get orders completed. The manager showed no leadership skills. I won’t be back.

This is by far the most dusfunctional chipotle I’ve ever been at.  They routinely miss their online order commitments by 20+ minutes, don’t use their online order racks (and instead keep the orders behind the counter), which would be fine, except they don’t call out the names when the orders are ready.  There’s currently an (angry) mob of customers waiting by the online order pickup, and I’m walking up to the counter reading off names when they finish a bag because they don’t announce it.  They are slow, and not very friendly.  Someone really needs to talk to management at this location, because they’re quite frankly incompetent.

As I’m writing this, after being here for 25 minutes, they seem to have finally gotten tired of me yelling out the names for them, and started doing it themselves…. I guess that means they can apparently be trained, so I reiterate, management problem.

Once I got home, 1 of my tacos had the wrong protein in it. I ordered steak, which was in 2 of the tacos, but the other had something else- I Believe Chicken Al pastor.

I’ve complained on the chipotle website about all these issues before (repeatedly), all specifically with this location. More often than not, they get one (or more) things wromg with the food.

This is a Severna park location unique problem… Everyone else seems to have this online ordering thing figured out.
