Salsa, queso, chips, all good. Chimichanga was good. Rice was good. Fried ice cream was good. Staff was polite and helpful. First time I’ve been out and not disappointed in a long time. Husband had no leftovers and was so happy with everything. I do think some items could have a touch more spice but I also know you’re serving midwest folks who think pepper is spicy, so I get it. Lol

My lunch special #4, tamale, enchilada & refried beans was delicious & I needed a box to take the enchilada home, along with more than half the refried beans. I was excited to have dinner at El Toro last night with my girlfriend. The service was abysmal. Only five or six tables were occupied by customers, so they were not busy. We both ordered drinks shortly after sitting down. My drink came out after a few minutes, but my girlfriend’s did not. I had to go find another server to ask about her drink because our server was nowhere to be found. He was very helpful and went off to see what was up. Right after that, our food came out, but there was still no drink. Her drink finally showed up about 5 minutes after the food hit the table.

Can’t say enough great things about this place. We went there for lunch and sat on the back patio. I got the lunch special Alambres and they got the Boss Burrito. The food was fresh and such full of flavor. We also had the chimmi cheese cake which was out standing. I will definitely be going back.

My first visit. Started off with the normal chips and salsa. The salsa was great, very flavorful. Ordered the Texas Patron margarita, it’s served with dry ice, absolutely delicious. So I stayed with the theme and ordered the Texas Taco salad. Steak, Chicken and Shrimp, it was so good. And a very generous portion. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend stopping in for dinner. I definitely will be back.
