This is such an awesome place. I had jury duty and was looking for a good sandwich place. Jimmy John’s and this place came up and I’m glad I tried Potbelly. The bread is soft, the ingredients are fresh, and the hot peppers gave my Italian sandwich a nice kick. Definitely coming back.

Potbelly in downtown Phoenix at CityScape is a reliable spot for toasted sandwiches and quick lunches. The build-your-own option ($11.49) lets you pick breads like Jewish Rye or Whole Wheat, meats such as Pastrami, Corned Beef, Brisket, or Turkey, and cheeses (extra $1). The standout Smoked Salmon Nova Sandwich ($12.99) on a fresh bagel with cream cheese, tomato, red onion, and cucumber is delicious and generous. Pair it with matzo ball or chicken noodle soup (SM $6.29/LG $11.49) for comfort. Sides like wedge fries or coleslaw are solid add-ons. Great location near arenas, friendly service—perfect for a satisfying deli fix!

I really love potbelly. LOVE it. But today I decided to try the “caramalized” onion on my sandwich. And just saying NOTHING about these onions were caramelized. Not even close. Its barely softened sauted onion at best. Just a heads up. Don’t bother with it.

The sandwiches are a great value at a great price.
The pastrami is fresh and flavorful, and there are lots of choices of vegetables and toppings to put on the sandwich as well. The staff are also great and took my order right away and got it done really quick.

I placed my online order promptly at 9:00 AM and was given a pickup time of 9:18 AM. When I arrived, I was told my soup wasn’t ready and to come back later. I left, picked up my Starbucks order, and returned, but the soup was still not ready. After waiting until 9:38 AM, I finally received a lukewarm soup with no apology.
A simple “I’m sorry” goes a long way in customer service. Additionally, I suggest starting to warm up food before opening so orders can be fulfilled on time. Because of this delay, I was late to my morning meetings, and all of my coffee drinks were cold as well.

I had the roast beef and provolone. On white bread just plain add peppers. It was good on par or better than cheba. The bread was super buttery it was a good affordable meal.

Excited to find out that there’s a Potbelly Sandwich shop in Phoenix!!!

The entire interior design is mostly the same as their Chicago shops, while it’s a bit brighter (in the good way) maybe due to the sunshine of Phoenix’s ?

Ordered steakhouse sandwich with “all in” along with root beer, what a nice Sunday afternoon.

I had the Mediterranean sandwich; the flavors were all very present and well-balanced. The service was relatively fast considering the long line, but the wait was worth it. Their signature hot peppers actually added flavor to the sandwich, which is a newly rare and therefore greatly appreciated contribution in making food spicy.
