Los Gatos just went up a notch in my view because of this new Mexican restaurant!

The food is amazing, the portions are generous, and the sauces have the right amount of heat! Those are the main things to know, but if you want to know more, read on.

The workers are super kind and friendly, they make you feel like you’re an old friend they haven’t seen in a while. The atmosphere is nice and the place is clean.

Plenty of parking, easy on and off highway 17 and highway 85.

In the wise words of The Terminator… I’ll be back!

Enjoy!!!

I got the asada California burrito. The food was really good. They also have a salsa and chip bar in the back. The salsas were delicious! They have a spicy mild and pico salsa. Also staff was super friendly and inviting!

Great counter service lunch spot! I got a wet burrito that was easily big enough for 2 meals. They have a little counter spot for chips and salsa that’s self serve and free with purchase.

Great new spot in Los Gatos. Big menu, very reasonable prices, and a fantastic salsa bar. Quick service and the staff is always friendly. We usually pick up dinner for takeout here 1-2 nights a week. So far everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. Great chile rellenos, burritos, enchiladas, and nachos.

Soooooo… I hate to be “that guy” but I live in the neighborhood and want this place to be its best. So some honest addressable feedback.

They spruced up the old Unamas nicely, so it’s an updated nice look and feel to it. The people were SUPER nice, welcoming and warm.

The food…was solid. Not fantastic, not bad (at all), just “solid.” I say this as a self-identified burrito snob, and one who has lived in Northern California for decades. So my bar is probably kind of unreasonably high. I need to also say upfront that I suspect these folks aren’t a volume burrito shop like many taquerias. They have a LOT of plated options, a good array of seafood options, and some clearly tex-mex items too. Much more tempting to sit down there and eat versus order-and-go.

My go-to in a new taqueria style place is a regular carne asada burrito – you get to learn a lot about a place through those. How the burritos are composed, rice/no-rice (good or bad rice), how generous they are with meat portions, what the meat is like, what their salsa is like, etc. Carne asada done *right* is amazingly charred but not over done. Solidly (maybe even aggressively) seasoned as well. This wasn’t that. No char at all, “okay” flavor, but undetectable seasoning. Texture was fine for what it was (not tough). Bummer. The rest of the burrito was perfectly decent, but nothing outstanding.

I will also make a strong point of saying that two of the other three dishes (four total) we got were *very* well received by my daughter and wife. They were quite happy with the wet shrimp burrito (it was huge!) and chimichanga. The chicken California burrito verdict was similar to mine, but I will say that they do a nice job on the chicken.

I’ll definitely go back to explore the menu a bit more given it’s next to my neighborhood…but it wasn’t a home run out of the gate. Maybe they are still getting their legs under them since they just recently opened up.

This spot used to be on Hillsdale and Ross. They moved. It’s been my favorite place for several years now. Definitely my favorite Mexican food spot in Los Gatos now. I like it better than Donia Maria. Food is fresh, delicious and service is awesome. Salsa bar is excellent.

Not authentic at all. I’m pretty sure they add water to their fake guacamole. The chicken crispy taco was terrible- taco was soft and chicken tasted like oil. Also the carne asada burrito bowl had zero taste. Very disappointing!
