They open at 6 pm on the dot & if you have a reservation you are seated first. Our server gave us a great recommendation for the best meal to order & she was right! Or steak was grilled perfectly. The salad bar was fresh & well stocked. Our family definitely plans to go again.

We first visited Carolina in January of 2025 for a small business dinner. The food was phenomenal – it’s not a large menu but what they do serve is all fantastic. Simple salad bar that somehow ends up being top tier. Delicious rolls and great service.
Our last visit, January of 2026, it was a little lacking. Our reservation was for later in the evening, prior year was right at 6, and it took a few minutes for us to be acknowledged and drinks ordered. Food was still great, but one in our party was served a sour filet – it smelled god-awful when cut into. We didn’t make a big deal and it was removed from the bill.
If you are going to give Carolina a go, call and make a reservation for 6. You’ll get the best service and freshest food around.

We arrived with friends who made reservations at the same time we did. They were served and ate before we ever got our food. It took 1:15 minutes to finally get food. We keep getting an excuse that it was my wife’s chicken that was taking so long. When our food finally arrived her chicken was like warm and my $30 steak was undercooked. The baked potatoes and salad were very good. After sending steak back to be cooked I just asked for a box and we paid and left. I was very disappointed. I had such high hopes and drove 1:45 minutes from Rock hill to try this place. Thanks but never again.

Visited this location with friends. It’s quite unassuming… biggest note is that there were NO windows. Not even a glass door. Kind of unsettling. Lots of locals. Heard lots of good thing nah about their steaks. Couldn’t wait. Apparently, the steaks are farm-to-table. The steak was tasty. A bit chewy for me… but enjoyable. Came with a big ole baked potato and the BIGGEST ball of butter/sour cream/chives I’ve ever seen! I went for coleslaw as my second side. Very good… Sweet… the way I like it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Doubt I’ll return though.

Very good steak house. This is truly a hidden gem. Located on the outskirts of Chesterfield.The steak was one of the best that I’ve ever had. Great salad bar. The service was very good. I would definitely recommend this place.

I would like to thank Carolina Restaurant and especially the kind ladies that took my order last night. I live in NC, and wanted to surprise my mom for her birthday with a steak dinner, so I called it in and had a friend pick it up and take it to her. Without surprise my mom called to thank me, not once but numerous times she told me that her steak was the best steak that she had ever had. So with that being said, if I could rate my experience from miles away, it would definitely be more than 5 stars, thanks again ladies for making my mom one happy lady.
