Join us in the morning for a hot coffee and pastry, or come in for breakfast staples such as pancakes, omelets, and more! (Breakfast Mon-Sun 8:00 AM) Our Lunch/Dinner menu hosts eats for all manner of people! We serve house made clam chowder, hand breaded fish and chips, a variety of sandwiches, and we’re now serving specialty thin crust pizzas. I’ve been coming to driftwood for many years..
What a pleasant surprise the menu was. I cant say more than wow..the food was absolutely delicious. Ate both breakfast and dinner there today and both were superb! Very very impressed and delighted. The brie cheese and Marion berry flatbread was divine!

We flew into Eugene from Louisiana for a funeral. We decided on our last day here to explore the coast, Thor’s Well, Sea Lions, Heceta, and Florence. We were referred to try Luna Sea, but decided to try Surfside Bistro due to it being a little cheaper in price for their Fish n Chips, which was what we were really wanting since we were on the coast. We should’ve just went to Luna Sea.
The staff was nice at Surfside Bistro, but the food was bland. Per the website, their Fish n Chips showed to be beer battered, that was not the case when we received our food. The fish was battered in mozzarella cheese sticks breading. My daughter ordered a burger, it was very dry. The only thing that tasted good was the Garlic Parmesan French Fries. The waitress said they have not had beer battered fish in a long time, which we brought up the website showing different. She said something about not having access to change what shows on there, so I’m not sure about that. Also, every restaurant should have a separate fryer for those that have a shellfish allergy, especially if you want fries with your burger. I will say she was very sweet and friendly though. We won’t come back to this place when we come out again for a vacation.

Went in after a long hike on the beach, cute atmosphere, lovely view. Great staff service. Food was AWFUL. I can only argue the hot cocoa was okay out of the entire experience. We had ordered a couple appetizers like the fried pickles, the flatbread with brie and jam, and calamari. Waited 25 minutes. The fried pickles had a breading that stuck to your teeth like caramel, the pickles felt like they were rubber yet freeze dried at the same time with little to no flavor. The only thing that brought any flavor out was the tartar sauce the waitress brought out. The calamari was really rubbery and had no flavor, not fresh. The flatbread with brie and jam had barely any brie. And there was no mention of it coming to you like a made focaccia, the wording made it seem like it was a build your own platter. The flatbread overall tasted like chalk with herbs. Heavy on the thyme. Menu was questionable as it seemed rushed, mislabeled everywhere, had one item listed and signed as vegetarian with a V and nothing else, had to ask if everything ordered was even vegetarian friendly. Would not come here again.
Only for cocoa though.

If they painted the walls and got rid of the awful bright white lighting, it would transform the feel of the restaurant to something more high end. As it sits it feels like a cheap quick stop cafe. The food was great and everyone working there was very nice, however it took a long time to get an order in and get the food itself. It’s easy to tell that the management is lacking.

Peaceful, beautiful quaint seaside cafe with views of the dunes and ocean. The friendly staff made it feel welcoming and comfortable. Only thing missing was there was no option for oysters.

Stopped in for breakfast. Beautiful view, food was great. Breakfast potatoes were amazing and eggs were perfect. The prices were very reasonable. Fast service. You should give it a try!

Great view with nice seating. I had biscuits and gravy, which tasted horrible with some kind of canned gravy. My friend had a basic breakfast combo and that was disgusting also. Be prepared there is no table service you have to wait in line to place an order. The coffee is decent and that’s the only good thing I can comment about. Staff was pleasant but uninformed of inaccuracies in prices to the menu.

Odd experience. The dining area is pretty cool with big windows and a decent amount of seating. It took 35 minutes to get two cold cut turkey sandwiches. The chips that came with them were stale. The turkey sandwiches were decent beach sandwiches though. Likely will not return.
