The ambiance is beautiful and refined, with elegant décor, a warm atmosphere, and the perfect background music that sets the tone for a special night. The service was impeccable attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming.
For food, we started with the burrata, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced. The ravioli al pesto was outstanding rich, delicate, and full of flavor. We paired our meal with an excellent Barolo Mura Mura, which elevated the entire experience.
To finish, we enjoyed a creamy gelato and a delicious chocolate tart. Since it was our anniversary, the team surprised us with a small complimentary cake, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch and absolutely delicious.
This place is now officially on my list of the best restaurants in NYC. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience.
If you go for a full dinner try their gnocchi and filetto! Both amazing entrees
My son convinced us to switch from Daniel to Fasano for the Christmas Eve dinner. From the start the hostesses were extremely rude and arrogant, especially for what is supposed to be a light and happy night. It unfortunately felt like coming in to a night club. It was my mistake to make the reservation on the bar instead of the main dining room but staff didn’t even try to get us moved and all the “managers” that came to us were rude and clueless on true hospitality.
The first few plates on the pre fixed menu were okay, nothing special but to my surprise both the milanesa and filet were inedible. The filet itself was past its time and in my opinion the mix of foie gras, mushroom, and black truffle made the entire room impregnated with the smell. Which is shocking considering Gero is known for not even using garlic due to smell. We left asap and the post-dinner sensation was even worse. I’m sorry but for a $1,200 dinner for three, this is not supposed to happen. Horrible experience… never again
We stopped by before a Broadway show and let the waiter know we were short on time. The service was attentive and fast without feeling rushed. Everything was perfect — from the pasta to dessert. Definitely a place we’d come back to.
