The worst food I have had. Not sure how this place is still open. We were there on a weekday for dinner and ordered a two piece platter that included two sides. Except for the coleslaw all the food had a refrigerator taste to it. It was dry and you could tell it had been frozen or in the refrigerator for sometime. We asked the staff what he recommended and told us to try the ribs and Tri tip…. The potato wedges were also reheated. It was terrible!

Food was great. Server was quite welcoming and fun. She was well knowledgeable with the menu and specials. She also gave a sample to try. We highly recommend the ribs and the burnt ends.

This cute little restaurant had really tasty food; the burgers were cooked as requested and the sweet potato fries were delicious. My only real complaint is that they were out of the items we were trying to order at first, the brisket and ribs. Will definitely have to be back to try them at another time. Special mention for the waitresses, some of them are just super personable which made it fun!

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ experience! We ordered the combo platter with tri tip and brisket burnt ends, and every bite was packed with smoky, melt-in-your-mouth flavor. The poblano burger was equally incredible—juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of bold, delicious flavor.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Daniel, the chef behind it all, and he was absolutely delightful. You can tell he pours his heart into the food, and it shows. Our service was top-notch from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.

This place is a must-visit. Can’t recommend it enough! We will be back (many times!!).

Not really sure how this place has above 2 stars.

Food: Ordered shredded brisket and pork, southwest coleslaw and bbq beans. Shredded brisket and pork were obviously previously frozen, as it was slopped onto the plate in a watery bath. I didn’t eat the pork because the taste and appearance made my stomach turn. My buddy did though. Didn’t appear that they really make the food themselves, just microwaved stuff and threw it on a plate. All the food lacked seasoning. It appeared that the food was probably purchased with some ingredients added to make it appear as an authentic dish. Only thing halfway decent was the cornbread and beer. My buddy who ate all his shredded pork was sprinting to the bathroom within 20 minutes of leaving. Also, there was food items sitting out, half covered by Saran Wrap. Cook wasn’t wearing gloves.

Service: It was okay, but I had to remind the dude about our cornbread, which wasn’t a big deal. Slightly below average.

Atmosphere: Music was loud as hell for some reason. Other than that, it was a cookie cut version of a hole in the wall restaurant with a BBQ sign out front.

Overall: Basically paid $80 for a colon cleanse. I would warn others to stay away.

Update: My buddy that ate the pork has symptoms of food poisoning. He’s been throwing up since we left the restaurant.

We were in the mood for some real food so we stopped here for our first time. I liked the design of the restaurant it was like stepping back in time. It felt cozy and cool! I ordered the four sliders they offer. My wife ordered the burger and some sweet potato fries. Everything was great!! We were so glad we stopped in here. This is definitely going on the list of food places in the area to visit regularly.

First visit- lunch. Food was good, service really good. The owners were friendly – husband the cook, wife the waiter. They told us to come back for “live music” on Monday night, so we did. There was a KJ singing to karaoke music, backed up by a gal who had no business holding a mic and an older person chiming in on tambourine barely keeping beat. The elderly crowd was meager but seemed to enjoy the show. We did not.
Husband ordered a beer and a shot, and the very young waiter commented “wow, that’s a rough drink!” I ordered a vodka, soda, splash of cran. It was the worst drink I’ve ever been served in any establishment! Barely any ice, no bubbles, tasted like they used tap water instead of club soda. I didn’t take more than a second sip. We asked for the check and left.

The pulled pork slider was good (I personally like a lot of smoke but again, preference) and the BBQ sauces were good (highly recommend the Carolina Mustarg sauce), but the Jo-Jo’s stoke the show. Huge. Left to soak in brisket tender. Fried in catfish style cornmeal?! It was the potatoes of the gods. They do have a full service bar that I didn’t order from, my server was excellent and the pricing very fair. Definitely recommend.

This place is the best BBQ around! Bumped into the food truck at Tubac Art Fest, glad we did! It was so good we had to visit the restaurant and were not disappointed! Great location, indoor and outdoor dining. Our doggy enjoyed the patio, they even gave her water dish. Live music sometimes on the patio. Great food variety, bar drinks, wonderful smoked meats and sides and nummy home-made unique deserts change daily. Clean restaurant, good service, lots of parking. Going back and adding this to my list of favorite restaurants!

Update: We had a small party and I decided to pick up a lot of the meats and sides for the event and it went over wonderful! It was so fun to try the different sauces and all the guests left saying they will go to Longhorn Outpost. They are under new management and the pride shows. They make all of their sauces with organic items. All the sides are homemade with exception of the fried dill pickle chips. This is becoming our staple favorite in Green Valley/Sahaurita.

Went here for lunch with my wife today, the food was outstanding!. My wife had a salad that left her stuffed and I had the southwest steak and cheese and it was cooked to perfection. Service was top-notch and we even got a sample of their catfish which will definitely make us come back.
