The small businesses in our community really need your patronage!
It’s a beautiful Saturday and I just had the best lunch at Mita’s Himalayan Kitchen! If you haven’t been, today is the day to try them! Good food and Excellent service!
I always get the Chicken Chilli with extra sauce and veggies and totally recommend! The Garlic Naan is perfect, too!
Uodate another picture of samosa chaat.
New update: they use to serve a red chutney sauce for Samosa. Now its an ugly brown sauce that taste like dirt. I called they say they never changed it. Go back on their photos it used to be red and it was delicious.
This place has gone down hill.
We drove nearly 50 minutes to try authentic Nepali food and arrived around 8:10 PM, well before the restaurant’s 9:00 PM closing time. We were seated without any warning about limited dine-in time and placed our full order.
The food came out very late — the last dish (veg momos) was served around 8:45 PM. Immediately after placing the momos on the table, the front desk lady strangely asked if we needed to-go boxes, even though we had just been served and had barely started eating.
Then at 8:55 PM, while we were still actively eating, she told us that they were closing at 9 and basically pressured us to “be fast” so she could clean and shut down. We were made to feel rushed and unwanted, even though the delay in serving was completely on their end.
On top of that, the food was extremely bad. The taste was ugly, bland, and disappointing — not even close to what you would expect after driving so far. Nothing tasted fresh or enjoyable.
What made the experience even worse was the behavior of the front desk/reception lady. Throughout the entire meal, she was continuously staring at us, making us feel very uncomfortable and uneasy. She may not have been openly rude, but her behavior was highly disrespectful and made it very clear that she just wanted to end her shift and go home rather than serve customers who were already eating their dinner.
This is not a fast-food chain like McDonald’s or Dunkin’, where you rush customers out at closing time. If you accept dine-in guests, you are expected to let them finish their meal respectfully. If the restaurant cannot accommodate diners close to closing, they should clearly state last dine-in time and not seat customers at all.
Between the bad food, being rushed out, and the uncomfortable, unprofessional behavior, this place was a complete disappointment. I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
P.s: We ordered Veg Chowmin (-10 out of 100), Veg thali (-100 out of 100), Veg Momos (1 out of 100) and it cost me 54$!!!!
there are clearly labelled dietary options, and you can choose your spice level for every dish (1-5, i always get the 3 and its perfect for me). you have to get the garlic naan and the butter chicken! the veg momo dumplings are always a must for me as well. highly reccomend to everyone in the area!!
I ordered the Lentil Soup which is like a warm hug. It is so yummy and filling. Then I ordered the Chicken Chili with Veggies and Rice. Do not forget to order the Garlic Naan it is to die for
