Ordered fried red snapper, pickliz, black rice and banana. It hit the spot. Snapper (which was served whole) was fried perfectly, rice was flavorful and pickliz was delicious. Service was good. Would definitely return and recommend

I usually order conch from La Baguette d’Or on Sundays when I am in the area, but this past Sunday, December 31, 2017 I went to Tropical Plus to see if their conch dish was any better than what they serve at La Baguette d’Or. The place looked a bit rough and the setup is not as nice as La Baguette’s, but I found their conch dish to be a tad tastier.
I paid $1.58 less for the conch dish at Tropical Plus, but the conch meat I was served with the dish was so small that I felt I wasted my money. The conch meat portion they served me at this restaurant was, in fact, about one-fourth of what I usually get from La Baguette d’Or, and because of that this restaurant, Tropical Plus, will never see my face again. To their credit I must admit, though, that they give larger portion of rice and beans than La Baguette d’Or. Tropical Plus also charges sales tax, but I didn’t see any authorization displayed for them to be able to do so.
I went back on my word and I ordered Poulet Creole from Tropical Plus today—January 7, 2018—just to give them a second chance. The Poulet Creole cost $11, no sales tax this time around, and I received four fried large drumsticks that they poured some sort of brown sauce over. Poulet Creole is supposed to be chicken meat stewed in Creole sauce and not fried. So, to make a buck these people chose to serve me something other than what I ordered. Also, the meat of the chicken was so hard—which was an indication that it had been overly microwaved—that I spat out the first bite and threw the rest away in the trash. Even the fried plantains they served me with the dish tasted bad; I spat out the first bite and threw the rest away too. I didn’t go back for a refund because I live fourty minutes away from Spring Valley.
The above was my experience patronizing Tropical Plus; take it and do with it what you will. As for me, from now on I will leave this awful restaurant and its horrible food (manje lòbèy) to themselves, and I swear on the lives of those I love the most that I will never set foot in that place again.

I called ahead & placed order. Food was packed & ready to go upon arrival. They was great & the chicken wings were a great success for everyone. Service was very friendly & helpful.
