We arrived around 4 pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. My husband picked a customized flight and really enjoyed it. The chorizo with peppers were yummy. The bent river cheese and apricot was delicious. The mussels in coconut broth was so yum. The lamb ribs were inhaled and immediately gone. Everything tasted great, very well executed.
I highly recommend!!
Received a friendly greeting from Rosa at the podium and was given my preference of seating, which was at the bar.
Food
O’Conner Skirt Steak + Green Peppercorn Chips ($38): Eight ounces of excellently-seasoned and -seared meat at the requested medium-rare doneness from end to end. Sliced well, quite juicy, great mouthfeel. Came with a little pitcher of tasty sauce, plus a small splat of mashed potatoes topped with a handful of crispy crisps.
Taleggio Tart + Sour Cherry ($16): The dessert menu was tempting, but, cheese! The wedge was creamy and buttery, contrasted with the top and drizzle of sour cherry. Edge was nicely flaky.
Drink
Interesting selection of out of the common way wine and spirits, as might be expected from Kat Thomas, known as “the wine goddess”.
With my meal had
Kékfrankos Wetzer 2022 ($22) and
Greenwing Pinot Noir 2024 ($17): Very healthy pours. Finished with a generous tot of
Lo-Fi Aperitifs Gentian Amaro ($13).
Value: An accessible mix of price points for both food and liquids; the steak was the highest priced item of all the menus.
Atmosphere: Very open, large window frontage, with great use of eye-catching colors, black fixtures, and eclectic artwork. Very comfortable bar seats. Main dining area had a fantastic view into the kitchen. Music was pop.
Service: Super warm, beginning with Rosa, on to Lucas and Kat behind the bar, and Jen.

Ada’s occupies the former spots on California of Esther’s Kitchen and Bjørk Caviar, now both located on Main, and stretches into what was once a barbershop. Upcoming areas include an outdoor patio and private dining/tasting room.
Bar had not only bag hooks but also charging plugs.
This is the kind of room built for conspiracy and celebration. Low hum of conversation. Glassware catching the light. Food landing in the center of the table like offerings to some very civilized deity. Shared plates done right, not as a gimmick, but as a ritual. Forks crossing. Arguments over the last bite. Laughter getting louder with every pour.
And the wine. Jesus. Not just good. Not just “nice.” Delicious in that dangerous, text-your-ex dangerous way. The kind of bottles that make you trust the sommelier blindly and order one more because, clearly, they know something you don’t.
For a birthday with ten people, it was perfect. No pretense, no awkward spacing, just a table full of friends, passing plates, raising glasses, and doing what humans were meant to do: eat well and drink better.
⭐️Highly recommend the chicken with kale + white beans! Crispy with lots of flavor from the whole dish to soak up ☺️ I made sure my plate was completely cleared it was so yummy!
Why was the plate of fries with aoli sauce $13 when it was a tiny dish with maybe half a potato’s worth of fries?!
You are likely to spend $20-$30 here per meal!
