The Chatham sandwich shop is a staple of the community. The menu has something for everyone and the food is delicious. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. This is my go to spot when I want to get something to eat in Chatham. Love the crispy fish sandwich and turkey pepper corn wrap.

I love chatham sandwich! And I just had the opportunity to visit their newly renovated bathroom. Upon walking in, I was met by the beautiful scent of vanilla and cardamom. And then I saw the sign, “best seat in the house.” That alone inspired this review. Thank you Chatham Sandwich for putting so much love and care into your establishment. I recommend anyone who eats sandwiches visit this spot, and if you also use bathrooms, you get two for the price of one. Use of the bathroom is free at the time of this post.

The Chicken milano panini was (emphasis on ‘was’) my go-to sandwich but hasn’t been the same for many months… This has been my staple for a while but it’s overall quality sadly has dipped quite significantly imho. What was a super delish sandwich has become very meh & bland.
My main gripe is that when I started ordering this sandwich the “fire roasted tomato” were smaller grape sized tomatoes that were in fact roasted (or at the very least had spent some time in a hot pan) to get some color and extra flavor, and was appropriately distributed throughout the sandwich to get some in every bite. Today, this has become just raw beefsteak tomatoes cut into several overly large tomato chunks that not only haven’t been cooked at all, but result in either a bite that has no tomato or ONLY tomato. In some cases, the tomatoes are instead just thin slices of raw tomato, which are cold & lack flavor. I don’t know why this ingredient changed, and every business is entitled to change these if they wish, but don’t list menu items with ingredients it doesn’t (or doesn’t consistently) have. Maybe I’m just getting “lucky” and that fire roasted tomatoes are just consistently out of stock, but I would really like to see this ingredient return to this sandwich… but if this isn’t going to happen then the sandwich description should change to reflect this.
Additionally, I enjoy my paninis more like a hot sandwich ie toasted / melted… however the sandwich is rarely if ever “hot” like I would expect. The bread has the expected panini grill marks, but nor it or the ingredients have any sort of heat even when I do expressly ask for the sandwich to be ‘toasted and melted’. This request will sometimes get a slightly melted cheese, but this too rarely makes the sandwich hot like I would like. I often have to toast the sandwich myself.
Since moving to the area, Chatham sandwich shop has been my go-to, but absent changes to this sandwich I think I’m going to have to find a new ‘main’ sandwich / deli shop…

The food is always delicious and the staff is so friendly! Especially the young woman with the long black braid and glasses. Every time I go there, she is warm and welcoming and gets me through the line quickly. I’ve only ever had pleasant interactions with the other staff as well. Highly recommend for delicious wraps, sandwiches and salads!

Stopped by on a trip through town to show my son where I grew up in the 70s + 80s – and a sandwich shop that made my favorite sub to this day. Back then it was #4 (Italian). But this time nostalgia led me to a sloppy Joe – and it was as tasty as I remembered. Thank you Chatham Sandwich Shop!

I was in the area and stopped by. Never been here but heard about the fire that took it down. New location is updated, and very clean. Staff was patient and friendly with my questions about the menu. Ended up settling on the chicken di parma. Super balanced. It was a little bit difficult to eat since the chicken slid out. Great flavor and it was big. Will definitely stop by to try more items on the menu.

I order their crispy eggplant panini at least once a month- it’s my absolute favorite item on their menu, but everything’s truly delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of their sandwiches
