Incredible hype man server Peter was amaaaazing!
Special mentions to the Dan Dan noodles and chili oil pork dumplings (my fav).
We also had the soft shell crabs which was spicy and tasty. Finally also had shrimp fried rice and eggplant in garlic sauce.
The service great .
My jasmine cocktail was quite a presentation too.
I would definitely recommend this place.
My night at Meili Brooklyn
for Jazz Night was absolutely spectacular. It was the perfect blend of high heat and smooth jazz!
We went all in and feasted on the amazing Ginger and Scallion Lobster, Golden Garlic Shrimp, Bok Choy w. Garlic, and the rich Bean Soup. Everything was flawless! Paired with two amazing Lychee Cocktails, this was easily the best Chinese food experience we’ve had in Brooklyn.
The atmosphere, the incredible live music, and the top-tier elevated Sichuan cuisine mean we’ll definitely be back for more spice and more swing!
We were welcomed promptly at this gorgeous place. Sat at the bar and Ryan made our experience 5 star!
Definitely will be back to try so many other delicious dishes since we drooled over the menu options.
The dessert is also something not to miss.
We ordered several dishes to share, and each one stood out. The truffle beef was tender with just the right amount of earthy aroma. The cumin lamb had that bold, authentic spice that instantly reminded me of street food back home, but presented in a refined way. The ginger scallion prawns were fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The braised pork belly was the highlight for me – rich, melt-in-your-mouth, and paired perfectly with rice.
Service was friendly and attentive without being pushy, and everything came out hot and well presented. For the $30–50 range, the quality and overall experience felt more than worth it. This is the kind of place I’d come back to with friends when I want a real taste of home in Brooklyn.
The Steam Whole Bass is incredibly fresh, with a natural sweet flavor of the fish. The Mapo Tofu is authentic, tasting exactly like what I’ve had back in China. Even the General Tso’s Vegan Chicken is surprisingly delicious, despite being plant-based. Highly recommended!
Beautiful atmosphere, very sweet staff, and while I didn’t have a drink tonight – the lychee martini is calling my name next time. Will be back soon.
